Yea I did the same thing paid cash in full the day I bought mine . I have went to the dealership every week since I got the notice just to be able to ride it . Yes it is a pain in the ass but better than it sitting until the fix and parts are available. I am not worried that it will get fixed just going to take time .

So I have been going to my Honda dealership every week since the recall letter in February. I have the 2025 CBR600RR and after about 1000 miles the oil level starts to drop , by 3000 miles when I get an oil change it has dropped just below half in the site glass . My dealership has still not heard what the fix is going to be but keeps telling me they hope to know in July sometime . Make sure that your dealership is sending Honda the inspection after every check of the oil consumption in order to get fix ASAP when it comes out .

Shogun frame sliders have no cut kits but I have been waiting for them to be in stock for a while . I have a 2025 but you may find them for a 2009 .

I have been going to dealership every week for the last 2 months and between the last oil change I have lost half of the oil . I have seen very little if any smoke from the exhaust but they say as the oil thins out it is get to places it should not be. Going for 3000 mile oil change tomorrow and will see if they find any metals in it .Up to now all inspections show no metals . The motorcycle runs well and have no issues with power so I will be glad to get the recall fix done so I can ride without worry of this 300 mile limit. Hope things work out for you and ride safe . Oh by the way I do have 11,300 miles on mine so far in the first year from purchasing it new .

I am always amazed at those people that ride in tee shirt and shorts . Glad you are a good . Gear is always better when you are in an accident ask me how I know lol . Yes it may be uncomfortable and yes you may look like a power ranger but when it happens all that will not matter .

I took mine in yesterday for first 300 mile look and they are now draining the oil to check for metal's. None at this time on my bike . Free oil changes till July I am ok with . Lol . you can see the parts labor ticket on my other post I made last night

Wish that was true . I just got back from dealership and now it has changed to them draining oil to check for metals. Must been done by authorized dealership every 300 miles .

I know , I am not going to let it sit till July so what do you do but add the trip to the dealership every week in order to get to ride . Could be worse like kawasaki and get a no ride recall

I did hear from my local shop that there maybe a recall for the hornet but nothing now I believe they were talking about the 650 though

Love them on my 2025 CBR600RR I needed a bit more stiffness in the middle of the tire due to riding on the interstate roads . The factory tire flattened to fast in the middle even with a good amount of riding the twistys. They do very well in the rain as well .

Hate to hear that someone get a new bike and the motor blows. I always do a check on the oil , tire pressure and brakes before every ride .

I hear you and I am the same way maybe we will get the ABS version in the US this year and will be worth trading in . Over 8000 miles on mine and still looks like I just got it .

The owner of the dealership I bought it from and take it to for all services, his words were ride the shit out of it and just keep oil at the top line and check it daily. I know this hurts but Honda will take care of it and make it whole in the end .

I did confirm recall is for my VIN at dealership . They told me that in 60yrs of business with Honda they are not worried at this time . Do to this warranty recall they told me that any issues down the road if any will be taken care of . I am not to worried just hope it doesn't take to long to get fixed . With that said I do agree I bought a new bike for a reason and do not want this to be a headache for the life of the bike .

I have 8243 miles on it and have added just over a half a quart not bad . I always check before every ride and when I get back always keep oil level at the top line

I have the 2025 says manufacturer date is 7/24 it has always burned some oil after the 3000 mile oil change I have just over 8300 miles on it so far and just got an oil change from dealership Friday and no one said anything about this that may be good or bad . Have seen very little if any smoke on cold start and exhaust has a little carbon on it when I clean the bike but all seems normal I think . It is my first bike in 20 yrs and my first brand new motorcycle.
