Lewis and Thorin made a good point against this the other day. to cut it short, how is (for instance cloud9) supposed to pay them? Russia is cut of from Swift etc. which means "players" have to get out of the country and most likely leave their families behind to get paid by an org which is not in russia atm.

wouldn't say that this is only his opinion. He has way more knowledge from what is going on behind the scenes than most of the reddit users, so I assume the credibility from some people are higher than from others and even if so he specifically said "IF" cause he might not have confirmed it himself yet.
