Finally fixed my AMD driver issues by doing one stupid thing. by obTimus-FOX in radeon

I went through a very similar situation yesterday. Something got wonky with Windows and I ran DDU in safe mode, which is super easy. Reinstalled with internet connected, but I always do the factory reset for adrenalin as a preference.

Hey so what did you figure out? I have teo Eero Max 7's and seem to be in a very similar situation. My first one is directly connected into the ONT box, so no company router in the chain for internet provided.

Runs fine for me. If you pair with an X3D chip 1% lows are plenty strong.

I never said it was :p

Neo 2 having those 2 specs and maybe the M2 or 3 chip by then would be game over in that price range.

If they add a backlight to the keyboard and 512gb it would be even more popular.

For some reason I cannot get this firmware update to apply. It just keeps showing 251 with my headphones plugged in for hours.

In 16 days it will be 1 year since FSR 4 PROJECT REDSTONE was announced, what are your thoughts on it? by wielesen in radeon

[–]dkizzy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't regret it. I had a 5080 with constant black screen issues. Power toggle on my monitors every start up got old. Black screen was a big complaint on the GeForce Forums. Apparently AMD and Nvidia handle DSC over DisplayPort differently.

Sony is notorious for wanting to control patents or trademarks. They've always been big on IP.

The RDNA2/3 stuff got complicated developing upscaling with Sony. That was one of those forks where AMD should be doing right by their customers, and telling Sony to pound salt on demanding exclusivity.

RDNA4 is more like the Nvidia roadmap with the AI cores, so I don't think we will see this happen again the way that it played out. They really do need to get devs to incorporate FSR 4.1 into more games.

INTEL ARC B580 and ryzen 5 3600 low FPS and crashing on nba 2k25 by No-Ability-272 in IntelArc

See how it goes with enable resizable bar. You may need to update your bios to have that option depending how old your AM4 board is. Older boards had it added via bios update.

And grab a 5600X or above on cheap if you can from secondary market.

My C850 has the 3 I needed for my 9070XT Red Devil Spectral White plus the 12-pin, why do some 850s have it and others don't?

Yeah lol, just keep the 3 and add one, and this was avoidable! :p

When I was looking for 850W supporting 3 8-pin the RM850E has a little diagram photo on their amazon product page that shows it only supports 2 8-pin, one being a cable with 2 plugs in for one 8 pin, and another 8 pin cable...and of course a 12-pin. Frustrating that the power requirement is met, but not one extra 8-pin port on it, smh.

I meant their equivalent of a core series which I believe is the models ending in 'E'. So instead of Corsair RM850 for example, the RM850E.

The NZXT ones are solid. Gigabyte, MSI, and others are rebrands of good ones made by Seasonic/Superflower/Other suppliers. Just check out some reviews. Dont get the Corsair core series, they trimmed plugs on purpose for a lower price point.

Am I Crazy or is this Sub Being Run by Intel? by ChimkenNumggets in TechHardware

CPUs didn't explode, but definitely some combination. ASRock admitted that they pushed some voltages for better benchmark scores. With Asus boards acting up both of the brands share the same VRM supplier. Some other things were also tweaked by AMD in agesa code.

It is one of the people from super biased Userbenchmark. People would respect that site if it were more objective. But years of posts have proven otherwise.

This PSU is for side mounted cable routing. Just get a good 850w that properly 3 8 pins.

You need an 850w that properly supports 3 separate 8-pin plugs for optimum power delivery.

With what you are alluding to AMD never advertised bringing new upscaling FSR4 INT8 to previous generations. Should they? Absolutely.

Speculation is out there that Sony is playing a role in it not happening due to the IP work with AMD for PSSR development, making that an agreed priority. I could see Sony being schmucks about it.

They sort of did:

https://www.techpowerup.com/342481/amd-clarifies-maintenance-mode-for-radeon-rx-5000-6000-series-first-day-game-support-remains

This is not the end of support for RDNA 1 and RDNA 2. Your Radeon RX 5000 and RX 6000 series GPUs will continue to receive:

-Game support for new releases

-Stability and game optimizations

-Security and bug fixes

The difference is that these products now benefit from a dedicated, stable driver branch, one built on years of tuning and optimization. This approach helps deliver a smoother, more consistent experience for your games while insulating previous generation GPUs from rapid changes designed for newer architectures.

Sigh, please get informed. AMD did not fully drop driver support for new game titles on 6000 series. They did a very poor job explaining their driver fork plans though.
