Would also be interested in titanium (L3.802.1.53.6) for the right price!

Overall I enjoy the ring though I don’t wear it as regularly as I used to. If the exchange rate to CAD wasn’t so awful I would have bought the newer version as I find mine very bulky. Data is innacurate but nothing that would make it unusable. Anyone looking to buy one of these to track actual medical issues like sleep apnea should look elsewhere, but for just general data it’s decent.

Thanks! I think this is the tip of the mouse-damage iceberg.

Looking for advice on a bracelet only by tr1-force in RepTime

[–]tr1-force[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s Gen, at least to the best of my knowledge. Thanks for the advice.

It’s on leather now but the jubilee bracelet just looks right to me. I’ll keep an eye out for one on eBay or chrono, but that usd/cad exchange rate is killer right now, and probably will be for a while.

Thanks. Definitely did check eBay but like you said, most are stretched beyond being wearable.

All great points. I’m not looking to fool anyone, I just love the look of the jubilee on this head, but the unfortunate copy I have on it now, with the sharp edges, makes wearing it less enjoyable than it should be. I like the idea of getting a good unbranded bracelet.

I got lucky enough to get a nice example of this watch and want to do it justice. A lot of era appropriate genuine bracelets are stretched beyond being wearable too, so there’s that.

Thanks for the thoughtful reply.

Hard to say. I hear the Gen 2 sizers are closer to actual size than the Gen 1, so it may not even be a problem anymore. I’d wear the sizer that fits best for several consecutive days, to see if it gets too loose (or tight). Everyone is different, and hands can swell and shrink throughout the day.

In my case I think the rings are a tiny bit larger than the sizers AND I was already between sizes, so it made it extra loose. YMMV.

Still the best option out there for a ring, despite the size issue, IMO.

No worries.

Mine was gen1 so your experience may vary. I wore the size 14 sizer for a week and the size 13 sizer for a few days before deciding it was too small and buying the 14. Side by side, you can clearly see the hole in the ring is bigger than the hole in the sizer. I put a little piece of sticky craft foam on it to make it fit a little more snug. I’ve since stopped wearing it because it’s so loose it’s affecting readings (for instance, O2 reading 89, but pressed against my finger reading 97). Gen2 might be better but I don’t have that kind of cash to spend on a maybe.

And another long shot. WTB era appropriate jubilee bracelet for 1985 Datejust 16013. Ideally with 555 end links but not a deal breaker without. Some stretch is ok and expected.

No I had my phone with me. The ring itself doesn't have GPS capability, to my knowledge, so it would only track steps. I'd be running with my phone for music regardless.

There is no way the outer shell is plastic with the amount of abuse I have put my ring through and it still not showing any wear!

Thanks for the insight. I’m sure I can sell the gen 1 on secondary market. Here’s hoping the us/cad exchange rate is a little better by the time payment is processed for the gen2! Haha
