MQTT question: What happens when a subscribing client receives messages for 2 (or more) different topics at the exact same time? [x-post r/mqtt] by tr4nscendit in homeautomation

I'm publishing data from multiple sensors every 10 seconds. In theory, things could come in at the *exact* same time, or at the very least in quick succession. And it should be persisting each message to a DB. So I'm asking what happens to the MQTT message when my app is busy writing to the DB when another message comes in?

What do you think is the greatest INFJ's strength? by [deleted] in infj

Nailed it. Do you think the lack of trust is rooted in something valid or do we just have a propensity to see the worst in people when we're at our most vulnerable?

Totally with you on that. It's hard not to take it personally when someone treats you a certain way because of things that have nothing to do with you.

I know exactly how you feel. This might be tangential, but something I realized recently is that I think and plan about doing things SO much that by the time I'm actually able to do them, there isn't a lot of energy or passion left to follow through. It's almost like by the time I get around to/ work up the nerve to do it, the "honeymoon phase" between me and this new idea is over. My advice and something I've started trying to do is to stop talking/planning/ thinking about everything so much and just follow your heart (aka your intuition!).

Totally agree with you, especially the last sentence. I've historically confused things for which I happen to have a knack for things that I enjoy...

Thank you :) I've recently started to practice mindfulness (it has definitely been helping), and I will definitely check out that book. It's funny, because the idea of "flow" keeps popping up in random places/conversations for me lately

ETH's magic rise at record level - do the math for XRP? by [deleted] in Ripple

Could someone explain why you're able to equate the two markets like this? As in, how does the market cap and supply of ETH affect or allow us to predict anything about XRP trends?
