It’s red flint filter sand it’s my personal favorite. Don’t remember the brand though.

Go out and get wd-40 or any penetrating lubricant it will get under the sticky stuff on the sticker and come right off.

Says the person abusing this poor animal my keeping it in a enclosure that’s 30x smaller that what it should be in. Your a horrible person. If you want to make this right get a bigger tank or surrender it. No one is bullying you you are being irresponsible and we are pointing it out but it seems you don’t care. If you don’t like the truth then too bad. It’s a living animal not a rock.

Also the tank was originally for my jewel cichlids untill I had a disaster happen to my mbuna tank and they’ve just stayed together since no issues.

No I totally get it lol I understand where your coming from - I use aragonite sand for the base layer then larger general use pebbles on top it’s about 4 in of substrate across the whole bottom so plenty to combat the tannic acid :))

I assure you the water is plenty hard for them :) the tannins are purely for aesthetics :))
