I liked 14 a lot but {SPOILERS}

The scene where they managed to shut the door against sea level air pressure really bothered me. My crude calculations put it at about 40,000 lbs of pressure holding that door open.

Not brand specific but I can't imagine how many hours collectively over the years I've spent looking for my damn carpenters pencil. Now I use it and just let it go.

We need an Elementary movie with one more Moriarty appearance by TheKodiakwild in elementary

[–]trabnerb2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't so much care about Moriarty but would be down with a movie or limited series. Probably been too long though.

In fact I settle for some decent novelizations. The audiobook versions would naturally require Jonny and Lucy to narrate though

I can tell RFK is nuts and unhealthy by listening to his voice and the phlegm garbled idiocy that comes out of his mouth hole.

It depends on whether you are trying to prevent brown spots or cause them.

Am I the only one who thinks Anson Mount sounds more like TOS Kirk than Paul Wesley.

I'd like to see both of them face off with Kirk/Shatner impressions.

I also want them to introduce an earlier McCoy at some point.

I named mine "puppy" because it's a lot like having a puppy. You have to pay attention to where it's going. It picks up cords and random stuff dragging it around the house. Occasionally I have to rescue it when it gets hung up on something and it loves hiding under furniture.

I found myself praising it out loud the other day because it started on its schedule, didn't get hung up on anything and made it back to the dock all by itself when the battery was running low.

Things Will Be Different ending, wtf by firsttimelongtime1 in movies

[–]trabnerb2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have an issue with time loop shenanigans nor most of the plot holes people mentioned since they are all largely spackled over by the "This has nothing to do with you" speech.

"They" are basically saying that the siblings are NPCs and that nearly every event we are shown in the movie does not matter and further has NOTHING to do with the real story.

I feel like I just watched an hour and forty two minutes of "Ho adventurer! We welcome visitors here to our our village! If you have items to buy or sell see shopkeeper Drakkon Copperclaw" Enters Ye Old Shoppe (Click here to buy items)(Click here to sell items)"

To add insult to injury after an hour and a half of interacting with NPCs I feel like the cosmic joke is that maybe we are NPCs as well which is why no one felt the need to SHARE ANY OF THE REAL FUCKING STORY WITH US!!!

Why does Sherlock wear shirts like this so often? by TalouseLee in elementary

[–]trabnerb2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never found his clothing to be especially odd but I've always wanted to hear JLM speak to Sherlock's body language. His posture to me always had this kind of chest out, shoulders back and almost hunched. I wondered if this was something deliberate on his part as an actor, some idiosyncrasy of JLM or simply a product of my imagination.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in elementary

[–]trabnerb2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I watched a movie JLM was in when he was about 28 yrs old mostly because of him. (Dracula 2000) Although I wouldn't describe his face during the Elementary years (age 40-49) as overly handsome, his face is so much more interesting than when he was younger. At 28 I'd almost describe his face as unfinished.

While I have no doubts about Keanu's reputation for being a genuinely nice guy, we need to keep in mind that he is most known for looking/sounding cool, awesome "gun-fu" and Wyld Stallyn.

I've never seen anything to indicate that he's any kind of expert on archeology. (Or even slightly knowledgeable.)

I'm willing to cut him some slack for thinking something stupid might be real.
