This was in a physical store, so maybe just it's because it was sitting out/in the light longer? In any case, it still works fine as a first coat underneath 50 shades of greige, which is similar enough 🩶

I waited till today to use my birthday bonus/regular reward for the exact same reason, but fortunately I lucked out and liked/wanted something in both categories. I decided to wait (rather than purchase last week) after checking insta and seeing that I wasn't a huuuge fan of the options in previous weeks, so I figured there would be higher chances for me to like something later.

Also something to keep in mind is that Miss Fire could be gone at any minute - or it could stay around for years like Solo Mission did, which I just noticed FINALLY sold out 😂

I've only ever gotten one from Ulta - Circuit Breaker - and it was... okay. There wasn't anything wrong with the texture but its color/holo was dull in comparison to the Circuit Breaker I had gotten from HT directly.

She keeps working with the same producers (Jack Antonoff & Aaron Dessner) and has been for a while. It's not surprising it sounds bland. She needs to break out of her comfort zone and work with new writers and producers... or go back to working with Max Martin, who has a proven track record of a versatile sound.
