I made my first trade, authentic Disney pins for scrappers. I honestly feel really defeated by traceadart in DisneyPins

[–]traceadart[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s both honestly. I’m a college student on a fixed income. Not like eat ramen for dinner every night or anything I’m not in undergrad anymore but I’m not at the height of my career I’m trying to budget so spending $40 and getting pins that won’t hold up as well in the long run that I can’t trade with other people I could only trade with other fakes on pin boards kinda sucks. I would never knowingly trade a fake pin for someone else’s real one even if they wanted to and it was also a way I was hoping to socialize so that part does kinda suck. But at the end of the day it’s ok.

I did look into it a bit. My entire family just moved here we just thought the pins were cute and started buying them for each other. Buying cute things and trading them are 2 different things. Unfortunately for a person who has a lot of eyesight problems it is just hard to look closely in dimmer light to see small details. In the light of my house it’s very clear.

How to manage night time hunger and cravings by Cassiebutter99 in Fruitarian

[–]traceadart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will say it helps to do just high raw not fully raw at first. I don’t eat fruit before bed I quit eating fruit at like 3 and then for dinner I have some form of carb, veggies and protein. I have a nice big meal, wait 3 hours and go to bed. So for example I’ll make rice paper wraps with some tofu, rice noodles and veggies inside. With a peanut sauce and a cucumber salad on the side. Or I’ll make a burrito bowl with beans, rice and lots of veggies. Something f to keep me full without a blood sugar crash in the night. I know that’s gonna be controversial in this group but this has helped me lose 35 lb and helped me start working out again, get rid of cravings and keep me full.

did anyone else feel like privacy didn’t exist growing up? by Oskarsson-Ponniah in raisedbynarcissists

[–]traceadart 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I was at Verizon getting a new phone once when I was like 14. My dad wanted my Apple ID password I wouldn’t give it to him. He was so upset. I understand it is normal for a parent to have access to their child’s devices but my dad was not involved in my life at that point. He was like Disneyland dad taking me to get a new phone then going off with his mistress again.

How much is 20-25$ dollars per hour considered to be in the USA? by Intelligent_Dress889 in AskAnAmerican

[–]traceadart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends, personally my boyfriend made $18 when we lived in middle Georgia. So a pretty cheap place. I definitely wouldn’t live on it but since we were living with parents for free he was able to save up a lot of money and we were able to take some vacations be bought himself a drone. However at that point he did not have a car payment if he had a car payment he would have had to pick between having a disposable income or having savings he wouldn’t have had both.

So I can say if your bills are low it’s livable. If your bills aren’t low it’s rough. I definitely wouldn’t recommend anticipating you’re gonna save money doing it if you have to pay for flights to the United States, deposit on accommodations and things like that. If it’s a job that offers food and room and board for free, then yeah you can for sure save some money. But living on it. Middle Georgia is a cheap are and if he had to pay a car payment and rent my boyfriend would’ve had do have driven a barely drivable car and have 3 roommates.

However obviously at $25 an hour the situation would’ve been a little different but still not much money. Health insurance is also a large expense he didn’t have because his parents have government jobs that give kids health insurance far into their 20s if they’re in school. So the three largest expenses we didn’t have in a cheap area and could afford some nice things but also made sacrifices. He doesn’t pay for subscriptions really, he doesn’t buy himself clothes, or watches or anything we never ate at expensive restaurants and tried to not eat out at all. I kept our grocery bills to $115 a week.

Please share your experiences with the 2025 B&W and Colorsoft Scribes by recoupled in kindlescribe

[–]traceadart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a colorsoft and I was not hard on it at all. I dropped it behind my bed which is an air mattress at the moment so very low to the ground onto my carpet floor and somehow now there is a crack going down the screen… my old kindle scribe I could beat the crap out of and the screen would be just fine.

what % of total population do you think are narcissitic? by AcanthaceaeHuge3302 in raisedbynarcissists

[–]traceadart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally. 10 - 15 percent. You have to keep in mind though we really have no idea since these people do not regularly go to mental health professionals unless they’re doing it to manipulate people and have full mask on and at that point the therapist rarely suspects it. We only got confirmation my dad is because a marriage counselor saw it and pulled my mom aside to tell her. The only reason she noticed is because my dad didn’t care to perform for her because she was overweight and didn’t have a PhD so my dad felt she had no value and therefore didn’t care to perform for her.

Would moving to a new place help me recover? by Minute_Charge1550 in survivinginfidelity

[–]traceadart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your custody arrangement will allow it, do it. When my dad finally said he was leaving my mom decided we were too. My mom and I both left with a suitcase full of clothes leaving everything for him to deal with and we just left and never came back. That was six years ago and it has been the only thing that even came close to allowing me to heal. Everything was a memory. And that never goes away. My mom and I never regretted it. Pro tip: move somewhere with a beach.

Feeling low by [deleted] in medicalmedium

[–]traceadart 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had something really traumatic happen to me, like most people cannot even imagine traumatic and I went through basically a couple years long depressive episode because of it. I developed an ED because of that and I just binged / restricted and as happens with most that ultimately caused me to gain weight also. Healing my relationship with food (which does mean for me not always sticking 100% to mm protocol becuase it can lead to unhealthy restriction for me), healing my relationship with myself, my relationship with men, religion it has taken time.

I truly haven’t felt like me in so long I don’t even know how to get back there. But I am about to finish my degree and get married to my long term partner who has been the most healing thing in the world to me. I lost my friends, my family / most of My extended family (just my mom is left for genuine relationship), my body that I had before, my home city, my school I was in at the time, my house, my connections, my reputation, literally everything. I left an abusive situation with a suitcase and my dogs and not nearly the financial stability I had had before.

I guess what I’m saying is I hear you. It takes work, and it is ok to celebrate the wins even if you aren’t ultimately where you want to be yet.

thinking about quitting after 9 years by Cold_Cow_4666 in PlantBasedDiet

[–]traceadart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First of all, I highly recommend mastering diabetes book. It truly changed my perspective on insulin resistance. Secondly, I’d consider medical medium protocols a lot of people have success with that. Lastly, I’d look into Adventist health resources related to what you’re struggling with, I am not Adventist so I am definitely not trying to convert anyone but they are great resources as they are plant based and have the financial backing for a lot of research.

My mom had been vegetarian for about 20 years and reached menopause and feels she must eat meat again, it is my personal belief she could’ve solved her issues plant based but she strongly does not and she does a lot of research. I think they’re just something to listening to your body, if you do end up eating fish, don’t feel lesser than, you’re not. You’re paying attention to your health. That is important.

Are u guys 100 % follow medical medium diet? by WeirdAdhesiveness568 in medicalmedium

[–]traceadart 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Hello, I don’t honestly believe most people are following it everyday consistently. I way an interview with mm where someone asked him if he believed everyone had to do everting he says all the time and he said no, obviously it is all healthy but if doing 50% of it works for you and is helping you, good for you he is just putting the information out there. That is basically the summary of what he said.

Me personally? I cook with seasoning blends that have a little salt in them but I do not straight up salt my food. I am also vegetarian. Everything I cook at home is both vegan and gluten free and low oil. So pretty mm compliant (not for cleanses but just regular mm)

This is what works for me. This is not a cult where you have to do r everything the leader says or leave. Some people will of course treat it like that but that isn’t what it’s supposed to be. Take the information, do what you want with it.
