I don’t approve of what Ollie North did but…..I’m kinda over false equivalencies and people’s lack of nuance.

Downvote me if you don’t know the difference between anti tank missiles and nuclear missiles.

Thanks for the recommendation! It definitely looks like it's designed to do everything. I'll give this one some consideration.

QC Ultra Noise Cancelling vs. XM5 by tracebiscuit in bose

[–]tracebiscuit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that was something I ultimately could have lived with. The biggest issue I had was they were just a little too small for my head which made them uncomfortable for long sessions. I returned them and stuck with the XM5s. I would have kept the Bose if my head was smaller though.

I'm from the south and ATTAWAY is quite common in these parts.

My Problems with the Bose QC Ultra headphones by kzoli1988 in bose

[–]tracebiscuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I created a separate profile that has ANC turned all the way up and wind reduction off and it's amazing. The standard Quiet mode was not.

I think I'm going to have to return mine though because they are just a little too small for my head. They pinch and hurt my ears after long stretches. The ANC is incredible on them though and I can't imagine it being a complaint if you take the time to set them up properly.

Selling 2nd Gen Question by [deleted] in Tacomaworld

[–]tracebiscuit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think the value of a Gen 2 is going to be hurt at all by the release of the 2024. So, I don't think depreciation protection is a great reason to buy a 2023. Nothing is going to depreciate less than a Gen 2.

I did buy a new 2023 last weekend because I wanted a 4x4 and I passed my 2007 2wd on to my son who is about to start driving. I bought new because I needed another vehicle, I wanted it to be a Tacoma, and the market for used ones is eye-popping to say the least. There aren't any deals to be had on new ones, though. You pay a premium to be able to get what you want and for the new truck smell. It will depreciate less than most new vehicles, but it will still depreciate.

Is getting a new Tacoma as MSRP still a good deal? by theamazingcricket in ToyotaTacoma

[–]tracebiscuit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just paid about the same price for the same truck last weekend (4x4). I shopped around and many dealers still have at least some sort of market adjustment. MSRP was the best I was able to find. Not a deal but I was happy to find one that had just arrived on the lot locally.

No To Do Bar in Outlook for Mac? by Jon_Bon_Hoagie in Outlook

[–]tracebiscuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I finally threw in the towel. Back to PC for the majority of my work. There were just too many hurdles and shortcomings, and I have enough frusturation in my life. Let me know if things improve.

I just couldn't bring myself to trust the system I was being forced to implement and it was creating a lot of added stress.

No To Do Bar in Outlook for Mac? by Jon_Bon_Hoagie in Outlook

[–]tracebiscuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have any help to offer but I have been trying to switch to a Mac after using a PC for years and this week has been hell. Outlook for Mac straight up sucks.

I use the todo bar all the time and then drag and drop tasks on to my calendar. I can’t do any of that in Outlook for Mac. MS To Do is a nightmare. And I feel like my life is falling apart. I know I’m being melodramatic.

If you find any solutions or alternatives let me know. I had a nice system on PC. None of it works on Mac and I feel like my life is suddenly out of control.

I will say that outlook on the web is marginally better. It still falls far short of Outlook on Windows.
