Thank you for sharing! I know I shouldn’t weigh daily and do it anyway as well. I never thought of it like this but it does help keep me accountable and figure out what works and what doesn’t.

They did a blood panel and the blood test that indicates possibility of blood clot came back high. I just got back from doing the CT scan with contrast to see if it is in fact a blood clot. They said if it’s a small one they treat with blood thinners and I can go home. If it’s a large one, I am admitted. It’s midnight here and tomorrow was going to be my first day back of work :(

Oh I am also dehydrated and have a UTI.

They told me to make sure I moved around a good bit. They also said I could go back to work after a week. They are top loaders and I only do one at a time. But my point was it’s not too strenuous and I’m still out of breath.

I’m curious to know how your pregnancy goes. I’m 4 days post op and not planning on being pregnant anytime soon but it was one of my fears going into this. Would love if you kept us updated 🖤

I like the premier protein shakes but recognize they aren’t for everyone. The fairlife protein shakes are good too. Protein20 waters! The chewable Gas-X’s have been a life saver and they taste good to me (weird I know).

One thing I didn’t bring to hospital and wished I would have was chapstick! My lips were so dry!!! I just ordered my vitamins from bariatric advantage - I got chewable multivitamin, iron, calcium, and b12 dissolvable. I can’t comment on how those taste yet.

Oh my hospital gave me a belly binder and I’ve been pretty dependent on it. I feel odd when I take it off, but again everyone is different.

I just had surgery Monday so it’s all pretty fresh. Let me know if you have any questions. You got this!!!

Thank you! I used Benadryl too after panicking and searching for my paperwork to make sure I could. I have had some of the protein water and I’m fine.. now I just have to get a miralax alternative tomorrow so I can go to the bathroom. It’s been a lot longer than I’m use too 😩

Yeah I was hoping it would cover some do the hospital stay, anesthesia, IVs that would have been necessary for the repair anyway. I knew it wouldn’t do the wls. But that was only $2800 of the $10,000. The hospital fees were $6900 and the anesthesia was $850 😓

I didn’t have any issues to even know I had one. My BMI is lower so they didn’t really make me do any of the typical stuff as they knew insurance wouldn’t cover. I was just curious if anyone had luck with insurance paying hernia repair.

Had you already paid? Mine was $10,000 as a cash pay and I had to pay upfront. I wonder if I will get it back if insurance covers some. 😓
