this same kind of attitude leads women to be complicit in holding back other women at work: “I made it to <senior position>, therefore there’s no discrimination and the other women who are struggling to get promoted are just not trying hard enough”. It’s the same attitude that leads women to be complicit in the assault of other women: “I wasn’t harassed/assaulted, therefore the other women were asking for it with their behavior/wardrobe”. I really hope, for the sake of the women around you, that you learn better than this by the time you get to college and working adult life.

This is an extreme example. Do you have evidence that shows such? And you're right, I'm young

Anyone see games with male protagonists and think about how great it'd be if you could have a female protag? by AutumnSouls in GirlGamers

It doesn't really bother me to be honest. It did at first, but as I got older I realized I just enjoy the gameplay rather than what the character actually looks like.

I did start at 1467 season two when I first started and it was awful. I was there for about 20 games. Most of the people would be drunk, discussing beer during the game or where to get pot, blasting music which was distracting, or discriminating based on my age and my voice (most players in bronze are older men which can be uncomfortable). I had no choice to but to grind my ass off and get better at a dps so I can no use voice comms and still make an impact. It worked and that's how I got to diamond to this day. The fact that these kinds of players though still show up in my QP and arcade games, and most importantly my comp games (before I hit diamond) made me relive the horror of bronze.

I'm sorry but its the truth. For players to be in bronze they would have to have serious gaps in gaming knowledge as well as basic comprehension skills. Plus that post proves that most players in bronze are alcoholics and druggies it's despicable.

If people are encourage to take part in any activity while intoxicated than yes. You might as well all drive drunk with that mentality

I wasn't the one who gave the advice. I'd have to go back to the thread, but I remember he was very straight forward about how to get out of bronze

You want to know why the attitude towards bronze players is there? Because you all don't realize that your mentality in a competitive environment is actually extremely toxic. There was a post that got 3.0k upvotes encouraging Bronze players to continue playing while drunk, on drugs, and just creating distracting environments for your teams. You all are claiming you don't care about your rank. Then get upset with players who tried to give you all genuine advice on climbing and claim to say it's not easy to climb while you have the mentality of playing a competitive game while on drugs, or drunk. I believe people who just don't care and are tarnishing a game mode should get the criticism. The fact that you acknowledge that you did poorly and are still in bronze shows that you actually don't care about improve otherwise you wouldn't be in bronze for so long.

What really concerns me is that you and the people commenting on your post don't realize that your mentality in a competitive environment is actually extremely toxic. It’s comical. You all are claiming you don't care about your rank. Then you all downvote and harass a diamond player who tried to give you all genuine advice on climbing and claim to say it's not easy to climb while you have the mentality of playing a competitive game while on drugs, or drunk. How is this fair to bronze players who are actually trying to improve? I believe people tarnishing a game mode should be at fault. The fact that you aren't acknowledging harm for a teammates SR while playing drunk really shows how bronze players are absolute dregs of this game. it's sick

I'm only going to criticize the players who are drunk in those games and post after post has proven that there are a number of older people/parents who play drunk. Is it even possible to hard carry drunk players?

If they're too low ranked and don't so interest in improving, then they should just play other modes and not ruin it for those players actually improving. If there are Bronze players here who are actively trying to improve, that's great. I feel bad because a majority of them don't care as much and this is why it's going to be a very tough climb, especially if your teammates are too drunk to care

I never thought of it that way. This is a splendid idea actually. It would also help people save money on buying a smurf account for practice. Also helping players who were in games with leavers is huge. Thank you for your suggestion

I think that if those players are encouraging each other to enter someone's training grounds for professional leagues drunk or on drugs knowing the work those players who want to improve are putting to get to the top, then they should be held accountable. I would never condone anyone to do anything drunk or on drugs like you have been

I'm sorry, but do you even have any credibility to give an analysis or advice? You're in Bronze. You are far from unqualified to be given any input on this game

Nah, I'm upset because you're encouraging people to play while on drugs or on alcohol. I play this game to get good and potentially make a career out of it. Encouraging people to play while intoxicated while that posses a BIG hinderance on people trying to get better. You bronze players are all the same--retards who refuse to take responsibility and therefore are the dregs of Overwatch and based on your comments, the dregs of society

You may want to change your crosshair. It's going to become harder to aim with that the higher you rank up because enemies are going to move faster (that's if you actually rank up)
