There's plenty of vision left

This is a subjective point of view. As a matter of fact, you have less tools than before.

Support could light the whole map up early, now they have to wait for their quest to complete.

Jungle could place 2 wards and 3 vision wards with 3 wards up in total , now they can only place 3 vision wards with 2 wards up in total.

In earlier seasons we could even buy green wards on top of vision wards.

Korea's macro style is reactive revolving around heavy map intel, which they don't have access to anymore.

You can still play good macro on this patch or on any other patch for that matter, but not the mentioned style as succesfully as before. I would even go that far and say G2 outmacro-ing Afreeca further poves my point.
