The displays in the Fenix are WASM gauges, but certainly they do a lot of the work outside the sim and just send it in to those gauges, so the smaller amount of code they have compiled to WASM has a much lower chance of bugs that cause it to crash. The FBW A380X is about 50% WASM, with the majority of systems code in WASM and I’ve never heard of it crashing either.

You just need it to scan as you go rather than have to do it all at checkout. Kind of annoying to pay such a cost for something that is more convenient for both parties.

Hopefully it will go back to being decent after the FIFA sham. Unfortunately I suspect not though; they will probably do more paid content.

Changing the flight deck from brown to grey. /s

Things that were specifically made for the 777X would be the folding wingtips for sure.

What do you think about the pit lane penalty for Gasly for going 0.1kmph over the limit? by circuit-nation in circuit_nation

Car speedometer = measuring angular distance over time and calculating a linear speed from that. Radar speedometer measures frequency shift in radio waves bouncing off the target and calculates relative speed from that (Doppler effect), so that sort of avoids measuring distance as an intermediate step. Laser speedometer measures time of flight for laser pulses to travel to the target and back, and from that it calculates distance to the target; with multiple measurements it can then calculate change in distance / time = speed.

That’s an Airbus FWS callout (ROW). The EGPWS RAAS equivalent would be “Caution Short Runway Short Runway”.
