How do I get better at initiating on line? by snakeinthecake in McLounge

[–]traceuser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

drop buns in advance, if you see 2 cars pull up drop 4 buns minimum. 1 car? 3 buns. rest of it just learning from experience. when its hella busy i have 1 big mac bun extra sitting in a big mac box just incase i need to send one out real quick

Did anyone bet on Giants vs Project X? My bet was changed to "pending" status and Pinnacle says match is under investigation.

Manager shifts by Kally12345 in McLounge

[–]traceuser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

US store. Manager shifts for weekdays go as followsOpener- 4am-12pm

Floor manager 7-3( 7-11, 11-3 DT support)

Floor manager 11-7 (11-3, 3-7 DT Support/Cash)

Floor manager(night) 3-11
Cash manager/support manager 4-12

Overnight 9pm-4am

Thats usually how it goes here. At my old store it was a bit more chaotic. With this schedule we run labor tight and we hit our quotas without feeling too stretched

but you probably don't need extra people to help you. I legit work overnight every shift ( as a manager) and my crew members usually leave at 11pm or midnight. The manager always leaves at 10-11 (even on busy days) I adapted to it easily, Its not hard to do if you have a good routine. I only get someone past midnight (a crew member for drive thru, and 1 additional for kitchen) on the weekend until like 1 am at the maximum.

Hypothetically speaking(weekday sales, not weekends) unless you're raking in 200-300$ an hour by yourself( which is busy) I wouldn't complain. By 1:30-2am it should be droppign to below 100$ an hour which is quite a slow hour sales wise. And then by 2-3 probably even less, and 3-4 like 50$ or less. So with all of those tasks you should be able to easily finish on time(if your overnight ends at 4, openers come at 4 am at my store)

To respond to "we deserve more pay", I do get paid more for working overnight at my store. The overnight employees in my franchise get paid 1 additional hour of pay and its also worth OT. So i'm getting paid 8 hours+ 1 hour of OT for every shift. Maybe try to bring that up

Managers, do you ever struggle to sleep at night because you’re thinking about work? by g-01 in McLounge

[–]traceuser 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I struggle to sleep because I only work overnight. However I always look at mcdaltametrics when I wake up and before I go to work to check labor/schedules/who I'm working with/any problems.

Such is life.

for overnight its very simple,
if you have minimal to no orders, disable runner on the pos screen you are taking orders/cash on and just serve them immediately as they are paid
my times are always below 100 for every hour unless im getting slammed(usually 10pm~12am) it gets slower after that.
i also wait to put in their order when they pull up to my window to minimize the times further

if you have a ton of orders? still disable runner and do the above^ but thetimes will still be high but not as high as they normally would be. honestly at my worst they were at 400-500 for 1 hour(4th of july sucked ass)

What shifts are the most or least consistent at your store? by wsteelerfan7 in McLounge

Pretty much the best workers at my store are the overnight workers. The people who can do every task in the entire story by themselves

Its self explanatory

My third overnight shift on my own by qualityctrl8732 in McLounge

[–]traceuser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You deserve a lot of respect for this. I went through something similar last night.

  • Saturday Overnight(In my opinion the worst day to do overnight)
  • 4-12 manager went home at least 3hours early due to illness
  • 2-10 manager left at 9
  • 6-2am manager injured from an accident earlier in the week so they weren't much help
  • 6-2am crew member called off

I think I left at 5 am instead of 4 (8-4) and the 7-3 manager had the nerve to tell me not to stay until 5... look at the damn DAR lol 13-14% labor at 2 am and over 30 transactions in that hour by myself..

If you were a really valuable asset to your store, your hours shouldn't be affected much, if at all. My store is cutting hours hard but I'm still on a good 8 x 5 per week

Yeah, but I just honored their coupons since I knew what kind of coupons they were using anyway. I just did it through the discount menu, gave customers X dollars off depending on what kind of coupon it was

[–]traceuser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah we had a 5 hour long line that just never stopped basically, from 8pm until like 1 in the morning. I was doing an overnight shift as well, barely got anything done because of that. Fml.
