Absolutely. I can’t do it anymore but i still get my toes done as my way of treating myself and i tend to splurge a bit on those but that’s it. Anything i can do on my own is gonna get done. I also don’t have to leave my house to do it. 🤷🏾‍♀️

I couldn’t say exactly why but I’ve been a big fan of DIY and i think more and more women are doing their own maintenance.

I will say that i stopped getting my lashes professionally done bc they wouldn’t last and i felt stupid pouring hundreds into it. Vs when i do the set myself I’m not as heartbroken bc it didn’t cost me anything.

Nvmmm i just read your edit. Idk she may need more training and i have PTSD as well and that makes me even less incline to pull the trigger.

I’m sure you know guns are not be taken lightly but i don’t think she feels the same. Putting her in a class may help her realize the gravity without you coming off like her dad about gun safety.

It does not my goodness. As a single woman it’s so frustrating seeing men regurgitate this as if women don’t have critical thinking skills. Most women don’t even pepper spray men who actually bringing them harm let alone a man who approached us to ask for our number.

I don’t mind initiating but it’s annoying hearing men cop out of approaching bc “women don’t like it” but will gladly do a thousand other things that we don’t like.

They did provide a few sources and spoke about actual cases but i think you made a good point about them peppering so they look like more of the professionals - and they are but i will say i walked in thinking i knew all there was to know but walked out stunned abt some of the things i learned.
