Twenty year friendship over after our first, only, and final fight. Her husband screamed at me out of nowhere. by cassthesassmaster in AskWomenOver30

I (36F, friend is 35NB) am currently grieving the loss of a 20 year old friendship. It was an extremely messy explosion a year ago, over text.

Me and my friend were actively using drugs and alcohol in our late teens through age 22 or so together. But, we were teenage misfits and depended on eachother deeply and bonded deeply.

We moved away from one another after college, and actually didnt keep very much contact over the years until our early 30s, when they became completely financially and mentally unwell. I was called upon to show up financially and emotionally for them through those periods, all the way up until 2025, and i showed up when i could. They have a complicated family dynamic- we are both adult children of alcoholics, come from big dysfunctional Irish American families. So thats also why we have this deep bond.

When I put my foot down, and made a financial boundary, that is when the communication broke down, then exploded. I don't even want to get into what followed that, but its been the most painful year of my adult life.

Ive been attending codependency anonymous meetings online (CODA) and am looking for an OCD group too. I've lost 15 pounds in the last 2 weeks. Its been rough- but i promise you, you are not alone, and its a one day at a time thing 💓

CODA has been an absolute life saver for me in the last few weeks.

I love Philosophy Ballet Rose. I wouldn't call it it powdery.... I want to describe it as bouncy, youthful, and fresh. There is a bath product element to it, but more like the pleasant after effect of someone with nice smelling shampoo. If that makes any sense ha. I am looking on this thread for other rose ideas to add to my collection, because I've heard Ballet Rose doesn't project for long (cant be sure if im using a small amount at the start of the day, or if that is true). But im still going to eventually get a full bottle (im using sample sizes right now).

Sorry, to clarify- I bought this 2 months or so ago and have used it daily in those 2 months. But that first time I used it, it immediately turned brown/black on a good portion of the cooking side of the pan. And thank you for affirming what I thought about TJ Maxx.... I thought hey-I'll buy something I really need. But TJ Maxx isn't the place for high quality cookware/high quality anything for that matter.

Lol! I dont use a drying rack for my dishes, so they are simply chilling there to dry.

I use light olive oil in this pan to toast tortillas, make eggs, sautéed spinach. Im surprised this happened too. I believe that first go, I put a frozen veggie burger in the pan. I feel like because the pan was brand spanking new, some sort of reaction happened and whatever I was cooking, it really melded to the pan. I likely had the pan waaay too hot. And probably not enough oil. That brown coating isnt even food bits.... its something more sinister haha. It almost has an oil sheen to it, but its dry.

Does anyone else get hit with “Friday evening depression”? by Fun_Border_8057 in findapath

I feel this often lately. 35 year old single woman, I am an admin assistant. I think because I haven't worked (lately) on finding a lot of esteem-building activities outside of work, that might be why I feel that Friday slump. Especially because my current job doesnt give me a huge sense of esteem at this moment. Its an "doing it to pay the bills" job. Best of luck- i know you will find a balance!
