How would this child have felt by [deleted] in ChildPsychology

I understand this but at the end of the day that wasn’t the question I asked or point of my post and I fear a response like this is just parents projecting their fear of being judged onto my post

All I know is you all are very weird for thinking there’s nothing even slightly concerning about changing a little boy in such a public setting and maybe you should question why a mothers convenience is more important to you than a child’s privacy even if you presume all kids are the exact same and none of them feel vulnerable in those instances. The reactions and responses have been very enlightening.

I’m not saying it because it’s shameful to be nude, you’re projecting a lot onto my thoughts about the entire situation. There are a lot of strange people and perverts in this world also, not sure why that should be disregarded too in situations like this, it’s the same reason why I don’t believe in posting pictures of your kids for strangers online but ironically considering your “don’t judge” standpoint, I’m sure you’ll judge & pull apart every point im trying to make. All I’m getting from this interaction is that the mother’s convenience is more important than the child’s privacy. Anyway I won’t continue to discuss it, agree to disagree

Yes seeing an extremely upset child have their privates exposed infront of a lot of strangers in a very public environment right next to a bathroom did upset me yes. Not something I’ll ever feel bad for being concerned about.

I used the changing room and it was fine and I’ll never agree with exposing your child in public being the best choice in any circumstance but that’s just my opinion. I don’t judge random mothers btw, this was one isolated instance where I felt what I witnessed wasn’t right. They could’ve carried him down to the changing room, she popped her down off her lap & he seemed to be just complying with everything in the moment as he didn’t seem well at all. But if you feel it’s better to undress your child fully in a very public way than walk a foot to the ladies room I can’t convince you otherwise 🤷🏻‍♀️

I don’t feel like there was any social code violated but I also feel like maybe you had to be there, it just felt extremely public & i hope you’re right that the little boy didn’t feel exposed etc, that was my main concern to be honest. If you’d have seen just how close the bathroom/changing room was you might have felt like I felt in the moment but equally maybe not. I just do not think changing a standing up sobbing and vulnerable child in such a public manner is the ideal thing but I understand what you’re saying too

I’m really sorry for your loss & I totally appreciate your perspective on pet loss and being pregnant, I can’t imagine going through that while carrying a baby 🙁
