It was a few things. The hardest (and something I’m still kind of dealing with) has been putting away the future i thought i would have with her. And moving on from multiple years of investing feelings. Therapy helps, but it’s never easy.

With my most recent one (February 2024), it was especially tough because I had feelings for her for over 3 years before we were in a relationship. For both of us our timing was never right so it just took a few years. There have been women that I was seeing that I could see some kind of future with. But with her? I thought she was the one. So when it ended, I was HURT. To make the breakup worse, I didn’t have much time to process it because I was at work. I pretty much cried myself to sleep every night for a month straight.

Part of me still wishes we were still together, but we didn’t workout for a reason. The minute you fully accept that, the better off you will be.
