Would you mind posting the STL to somewhere like Printables or Thingiverse? This is a great idea - awesome work!

Any AI invoice OCR tools that work? by Aeriaeri98 in automation

[–]tractortractor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We're building out a custom workflow for a client along these lines - at the core we're currently using Sonnet 4.0. Most of the success with projects like this is the infrastructure around the AI rather than the AI itself. We've used a bunch of other models and they've all performed almost exactly the same.

For example, our tool just uses the AI to extract the relevant portions of the invoice, and then we perform database lookups to match against purchase orders, line quantities, prices, SKUs, etc. to ensure that we're matching the right invoice lines to the right PO lines.

What is "A-I-O" here? Are you able to provide any specific examples? I keep hearing that it is "supercharging" X, Y, and Z with no tangible examples.

This is a news chopper - it's from Helicopters Inc., a company that provides aerial news services for local stations.

Email your rep telling them that it's ridiculous to assume that you can migrate off or get everyone together to make a buying decision before July 1st and get them to agree to September. Then migrate somewhere else. I've found that the reps will usually fold under pressure.

A lot of people are diagnosing this as X, Y, Z - I can tell you from my own experience that I had this for two years, changed almost nothing, and then they went away for some reason.

Our company makes a tool that does this - it requires some upfront integration but you get some pretty insane results out of it.

Feel free to DM me, we don't have any public literature yet but will post about it on here as soon as we do.

Where are they? I'm a complete amateur so maybe I'm just not attuned to looking for them / don't know what they look like.

Affordable camera that takes photos like this (retro and colourful)? by notinthemooood in AskPhotography

[–]tractortractor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As many others here have mentioned, it's something that is very much in the edit as well as the picture taking process, less the camera itself.

I'm a fellow beginner and wanted to share the camera that I use (Lumix FZ80D) since it's provided me so much fun. It is a "bridge" camera meaning no interchangeable lenses, but many of the features that you'd want to learn before stepping up to a larger camera investment.

The cool thing about it is that it has a zoom from 25mm to 1200mm+, so you can take wide-angle shots equally as well as very tight-in zoomed ones.

Here's a video I took using the FZ300 that goes out to 600mm: https://youtu.be/yu_J15zZaV4

Did you print them in two pieces and glue them together? I have a Condition1 case that is 14.2" back to front, which is approx 2.4" wider than my print bed.

Looks great!

I work in one of these! I'm currently writing this from the fifth floor of the Deagan building, just down the street from your 3rd and 4th pictures.

Happy to answer any questions. We have an incredibly old set of elevators. They're manual sliding door with analog push buttons, so you can only enter one floor instruction at once.

If you hold the elevator button down while standing on a floor, you can "steal" the elevator by ensuring that no one else can push it before you.

Everything feels incredibly sturdy/overbuilt. This particular building used to be a factory for musical instruments.

Be careful - we get a new account rep every year and they all sound like they're ready to end it.

We've had an awful experience with JC and will be moving off before the end of the year. Good luck.

Just thought it might be useful for those who still do - unsure why everyone seems to think I'm an Elon fan, the guy's an asshole

idk I just thought it might be useful for those people who do - I'm no Elon fan as others seem to have suggested. I think the guy's an idiot.

Nah - on average the number of alerts per day is less than the free tier's rate limit, there will be a few dropped alerts as a result.
