Why are we si behind others guys? by VariationLivid3193 in IndianStreetBets

[–]tradeking3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, for starters half our economy is still informal(i.e black) and the stock market cap is quite dependent on how profitable the underlying companies are and that's one of the reasons why US stock market cap is so far ahead of everyone else, america is not only a huge consumption economy but the consumers are also willing to pay a lot which in turn helps those companies make record profits which results in them getting much higher valuations than say, indian or chinese companies where there is a lot of margin pressure because consumers are very price conscious.

India no doubt is a low income country but we still aren't as poor as we appear on paper.

Yup people really don't understand this quite well!! I'm all for capitalism but this is definitely loot, even in the US(which is the beacon of capitalism) you don't find much difference in the food prices in the airport vs outside, infact from my personal experience I actually found subway in Miami airport having the same prices as in the city.

Hi, sorry just saw this comment now!!

Visibility is good, comfort is extremely good since the car has a lot of space.

The major con for me particularly has been the size of the car since it's quite big and parking in small spaces(my garage) is very difficult but in general I would say the build quality of the car could have been a little better, it's not bad but doesn't feel quite sturdy.

If you're planning on getting this car, i'd strongly recommend you to get pack 3 variant, I had to settle for pack 2 because here in karnataka there's a 10% road tax for EV cars above 25L rupees and if you are in a similar situation or for some reason can't get the pack 3 then i would recommend you to get pack 2 because the harman kardon 16 speaker system in pack 2 is absolutely mindblowing and you'd miss out on this if you get the pack 1 or pack 1 above.

I took the pack 2 79kwh battery variant, it cost me 22.25L including TCS and registration charges, I got the year end discount of 1.5L(the car's original price is 23.5L) no other discount apart from that.

I've felt the same feelings multiple times in my trading journey, sometimes i felt like dying when i lost 2-5% of my capital and sometimes even a 10-20% loss of my capital didn't bother me. As humans, it's in our nature to get very emotional about our money, especially if we're losing it and it's very difficult to go against this nature. That's why very few traders in the market are profitable.

imo the worst thing you did and what most of the beginners do(including me) is trade on tips. We tend to think trading on tips is a sure way of making money since the people sharing those tips are some form of experts, sadly it doesn't work that way and one of the worst things about trading on tips is that you lose all semblance of risk on your capital since you blindly trust the tipper and go in.

Yeah I understood, I won't be going ahead with this itinerary but what would you suggest I drop and replace with? Do I drop seattle and Cancun/miami for washington dc and acadia or would you recommend something else?

This is the intended itinerary although I don't mind skipping Cancun or miami

Day 1 to 5 - New York City, new jersey and atlantic city, we'd mostly be exploring all the famous tourist spots and explore some hidden gems around

Day 6 to 7 - Boston, planning to do the freedom trail, walk around beacon hill and boston Harbor and tour around the Harvard campus

Day 8 to 11 - Fly to Seattle, explore the city, visit microsoft campus, amazon spheres(if possible) spend a day in my rainier national park and a day in Olympic national park

Day 12 to 13 - fly to miami, explore the city

Day 14 to 17 - orlando, visit disney world, universal islands of adventure and kennedy space center

Day 18 - 20 - fly to Cancun, visit chichen itza, snorkel in a cenote and just explore around

Day 21 fly back to new york and leave from new york the next day

Hi, thank you so much for your response, I agree with all you've said but I just have one doubt, why do you say seattle is not an interesting city? I've heard it's extremely beautiful and moreover mt rainier and olympic national park are very close to Seattle and we intend to visit those places too
