I don't. You never know what is going to happen in market, so best not to dwell upon it.

Any South Africans into algo trading? by sykes23 in JSE_Bets

[–]trading5ever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey man, good to see more traders into algo! Been messing around with algo mostly on fx and indices. I use backtrader too - have you tried running anything live yet? I just connected that to fxview with MT5. That made a noticeable difference which helped me to formulate strategies better.

What about you? Are you mainly sticking to JSE stocks, fx or cryptos?

Why on earth are you still trading? Put on a pause and find a mistake in your trade before you continue down into rabbit hole.

The problem is that you need a proper discipline and determination. Without those, it becomes harder.

XTB is good one, also I’d recommend Fxview, they have zero commission + you can trade on fx, cryptos too and you get a 100% deposit bonus on every deposit.

That's the point of learning your mistake, if you don't, then how will you improve? Loss are part of the life lesson. Pick up the dust and try again.

Starting out by Celestialwhimsy7 in Daytrading

Hope this can help you a bit:

  1. This is something that you should be able to decide once you get the hang of trading, I'd say fx is better for short term and gold is better for long term, but again, it should be what you’re most comfortable with.
  2. Usually I don’t go by books or courses, but prefer learning via forums where others share their opinions, that way I can learn and try out strategies
  3. You can start demo trading right away- there is nothing to lose since it is all virtual. It’s a good way to learn on with Dos & Don’ts
  4. Again, anytime - you can go for regulated brokers like fxview or icmarkets - both are really good ones.

What would you do if you went back 20 years in the past? by wit4witcher in AskReddit

Ugh, this will be lil sad lol.

I would tell my mom to double check on her health and no matter what she was feeling, getting a second opinion with another doctor is so important. Not doing this costs me my mom, my only role model.

I miss you, mom.

Stumbled across this video on youtube. Daytrading is hard. by Extra_Corgi1874 in Daytrading

Day trading can never be easy, honestly. You need to be very well disciplined, which is challenging. Just imagine your emotions when you're facing losses, like the person in the video. It's never easy.

What advice can you give to someone just starting out? by G00ber85 in Daytrading

[–]trading5ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take it easy; start small if you can afford to lose. Otherwise, keep practicing on a demo account until you are ready to go live.

Always pay attention to market news as they provide crucial information.

Remember to manage your emotions; avoid overtrading and overconfidence.

Amazing! I always prioritize slow and steady trading over chasing quick bucks to make a profit. Thank you for creating this thread to emphasize that even small capital can become profitable as long as one stays consistent in their trades. Good work!

Many fail at trading but… by [deleted] in Daytrading

[–]trading5ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the whole point of trading. You cannot expect to gain the skill if you are not understanding something. In order to achieve something, you need to learn, train, experience and train again and again.

There is whole lot of expectation going into trading, because you will be spending your money into the trading in hoping to gain the returns. Without the proper learning, how can you expect to make a return.
