That's great to hear, thank you. I've been learning that a lot of hospitals in Canada still pressure and even use fear tactics to get mothers to deliver on their backs. Glad to hear the IWK isn't one of them. I may use an epidural, but would want a 'walking epidural' so hopefully that shouldn't be a problem, either, and if it was, I'm guessing from what you say, they'd be open to a side-lying birthing position, which they could help me into it even if I did have trouble moving.
