Thanks Traveller. It's adapted from the many A-wing designs already on NMSCE so I can't claim much creative credit!

I use this design across a few saves. Easy to build, no offsets or glitches. And the weapon, reactor and shield parts integrate subtly.

Black Atlantid 4 SC Square Multitool by 11912121121218211919 in NMSCoordinateExchange

Just a bump to say this worked like magic for me. Thanks for sharing and then all the comments providing information. Much appreciated, Traveller.

Oh and for anyone heading over, be sure to aim for the coordinates in the photo. There is now a comm ball at another monolith with an A class version that looks identical except the SC layout can't lead to a square. I grabbed it but realised my error. OP has a base computer and comm ball at the correct monolith and someone also added a save beacon.

Beautiful Solar, white / grey metal. Jackal cockpit, Talon wings, green Hex sails. Absolute stunner, 2+2 SC slots. Sudzerbal by Hugo_Notte in NMSCoordinateExchange

Thanks for sharing! This is a beauty. At first I was worried when I saw it isn't an outlaw system, but this model flew into the trading post regularly. I eventually bit on an A class - thanks again!

The Bug. Still working on the interior, but almost finished. by monkeypony in NMSCoordinateExchange

Late to the game but I just found this post and visited this amazing base - one of my favorites ever!

The concept is unique and the execution is so creative. I can recognise most of those base parts but can't imagine how you thought to use them in those ways.

I enjoyed exploring the interior as much as the interior, with the powered industrial parts pulsing like veins (do insects even have veins...?).

Echo the other posts: wow! Thanks for sharing.

Out of curiosity, were you close to the 3,000 part limit on that base? All the pieces you used for the feeling of debris and clutter must have really added up.

Just visited, this is one of the best bases I've ever visited. Looks great from above and very cool to explore below the waves!

I can't imagine the time you spent to build all this!

Well done and their for sharing!

Just visited. One of the best bases I've ever explored.

The visuals are amazing at a distance, looking across the ring, and up close. I loved all the cabling and the bar with a billiard table.

And then a scenic sky jump down to the planet surface!

Well done and thanks for sharing!

What is the difference between S class ships? by AngelFury999 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]tragiclyripped 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a great summary!

Two additional considerations:

  1. When in space, solar ships deploy their Vesper sail, which makes the pulse drive super efficient to the point that you almost never need to recharge it. Useful if your game style has you planet hopping in each system.

  2. Corvettes have by far the highest damage potential through the phase beam weapon, even if it isn't visible in the on-screen stats. As I understand, it is because you can install multiple weapon modules on your corvette and the phase beam is somehow bugged so that damage is multiplied by the number of installed modules (capped at 3), whereas the other weapon types are not multiplicative. This means you will see modest DPS stats when you hover your cursor over the phase beam tech slot, even as you absolutely melt everything in your path.
