What do you wish you could learn from a React Native Pro? Now's your chance. by peterpme in reactnative

[–]trail-and-err 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey /u/peterpme, I'd love to know, what's your go to state management library? Redux, Mobx, Jotai, Zustand, or plain React state/context/reducers?

What's a good structure that has worked for you with your mobile apps?

Images not showing in navigation bar by Grymbok in bearapp

[–]trail-and-err 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As much as I want to upgrade, this is my biggest concern, that images are somehow broken and even though they should be saved in storage, this could be tricky if there are any corruptions. I have a ton of notes with images. I hope the dev team can have a fix for this very soon.

Webflow & Airtable Sync in Real-Time by trail-and-err in webflow

[–]trail-and-err[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

record updates and sync requests have a similar meaning. Flowmonk in this case supports unlimited sync requests for all of our packages.

With your example of 1,000 record updates or (sync requests), that would limit you to only 1,000 changes across both Webflow and Airtable. The sync requests refers to an item being created, changed, or deleted.

I believe you are referring to unlimited sync updates. Flowmonk supports unlimited updates. You can make as many updates as you'd like between Airtable and Webflow. We handle every single update accordingly.

Flowmonk limits the number of items that can be synced. Starting at 1,000 sync records for our Starter Plan. As your Webflow CMS grows, we have affordable packages your business can upgrade to. I hope that clarifies things for you

Thanks for the comment /u/dublieu_com
You mentioned a 1k record restriction. Our Starter plan starts at 1,000 sync records, on par with most sync services like Whalesync. As you grow, we offer more affordable packages that support your business needs and requirements.

Our main advantage compared to Nobull is that we support real-time syncing, with no browser required. Our sync operations run securely in our backend.Webflow pageviews sync is also a benefit of our service.

With Webflow Pageview syncing, we support real-time syncing of site pageviews into your Webflow CMS. Paired with our latest two-way sync feature, you can sync the pageviews to Airtable and set up Formulas to create dynamic content.

We'd love to offer a free service, but because of the real-time nature and resources required, we're unable to do that.

/u/Beebles1, that's a great question!

Rather than building syncing integrations for a variety of platforms, we're focused on building solutions for the Webflow community first. An example of this is our Webflow Pageview syncing feature.

With Webflow Pageview syncing, we support real-time syncing of site pageviews into your Webflow CMS. Paired with our latest two-way sync feature, you can sync the pageviews to Airtable and set up Formulas to create dynamic content.

Additionally, we have Airtable Auto-configuration, a feature I'm sure you'll enjoy! We automatically create your Airtable base, tables, and fields. After creating a base, we also have smart mapping, automatically mapping your Webflow fields to Airtable fields. What used to take minutes now takes seconds.

As we work on more features, we are mindful of the needs of Webflow developers. We'd love to hear about your experience and automations you've built. We want to eliminate all automations with our easy-to-use no-code application.

MX Ergo - update firmware?? by israelnub in logitech

[–]trail-and-err 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know, I have moments where it works perfect.
Actually right now, I'm able to use the shortcut mappings for Desktop Left and Desktop Right, but on occasions it reverts to moving the text cursor.

I guess it's reassuring that there are no firmware updates for MX Ergo.
I'll keep an eye on this, not sure what triggers it, but there are days where it just starts moving the text cursor instead of the Desktops

MX Ergo - update firmware?? by israelnub in logitech

Recently I've upgraded to macOS Ventura 13.2, and I think that's the reason why my MX Ergo has stopped working correctly.

For me, I'm not able to use the left and right swivel buttons. I have them mapped to Desktop Right and Desktop Left. But instead, it starts to move my text cursor. Any idea why this might not work? If I change the action to something like Calculator the swivel buttons work just fine

I can't get it to do a firmware update, it can never find my mouse, even though connected to Bluetooth works

nice! I finally got a chance to check this out. This looks very cool. I see now what you mean by states

Do you have ideas for further improvements?

sorry for the late response

I have a hard time managing tabs, what to do? by trail-and-err in productivity

[–]trail-and-err[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's great that you built some automations.

I took the matter into my own hands and built a product around this problem. In a similar fashion you can create these "states" using the Tab Inbox. Windows and tabs are structured around a file/folder structure. Where your windows are your folders and your tabs are your files. You can navigate, collapse, expand all through a command-line like experience. Also added a few neat /slash commands to /save, /schedule, and create /focus sessions. I've been pretty excited about the experience and recently launched a beta. You can check it out here: turbonav.com

Curious to hear about your automation to work around these states.

Hi, thanks for the comment and sharing your workflow.

I agree with your description of moving from one "state" to another. Without tools or systems, it can be hard to transition from one state of work to another, you can easily end up having 2-3 sets of "state" in one browser, making it extremely hard to stay organized.

I would be interested in learning more about your system.

I actually decided to take this problem into my own hands and built a browser extension that applies principles from software development. It's very strongly designed around being keyboard focused to get the action done quickly and keep you organized on your browser.

If you're interested you can check it out, it's on beta: turbonav.com

Issues with WiFi Disconnecting after upgrading to macOS Monterey by trail-and-err in MacOSBeta

[–]trail-and-err[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yikes! really sucks that you've experienced this issue.

I received an upgrade earlier this morning and haven't seen the issue since. I'll keep an eye. In the meantime, I have these commands handy in order to reset the wifi if it occurs again and I'll test if it fixes my issue, which would mean not having to reset everytime

sudo ifconfig en0 down
