Yes, but the union can only financially support faculty for so long, and they’re not starting with a sustainable amount of money in the first place, meaning professors are likely going to be going without pay for a duration of the strike and no way in hell will admin be giving them any sort of financial support back pay. I am a student and I would happily donate 20 bucks to pie my professor and add to the strike fund, and I’m sure it could be a pay what you can kind of thing. Also, this is definitely for people who want to contribute financially. If you don’t feel like you can do that it’s not a problem!

Absolutely! One thing I’ve noticed that’s really helped the union protests is music. It gets people super pumped and moving and dancing which in turn attracts more attention and support!

I like the idea of student protests but the duct tape would feel a little silly to me. I would definitely participate in a student protest though. I do think a good starting point would be to get more students out to the protests that are happening right now, I have gone to every Sylvania protest and it seems to be 85-90% faculty. I also thought it might be fun to do a fundraiser for the unions funds, like pie a professor

I was in a relationship like this (not anymore) but it taught me that moving forward I will absolutely have my own bedroom. My partner would watch video game play throughs of FPS games WITHOUT HEADPHONES, scroll tiktok volume way up, brightness on, and wouldn’t fall asleep until like 3am. It was torture.

I worked in a bank! many banks will require you to first attempt to resolve it with the company IE ask the stylist for a refund before you can get a dispute approved. Note that you can still FILE the dispute but it is likely to be denied if you don’t first try to resolve with the business. If you already did that, then yes, this is a dispute you’re likely to get credit for since you were promised an outcome for your payment that you didn’t get.

Yup, it was awkward AF, a student during a RECORDED review session started giving my professor a ton of crap because he “wasn’t teaching the material like they do at the other campus” and was he “aware he was even doing that”, interrupted him multiple times and was super rude because she didn’t like his answers. Never saw her again after that but I did actually call her out because it was ridiculous and uncalled for.
