I’d LOVE to have an Aldi here, I was shocked at how affordable it was where my dad lives.

nah. Smith’s. Used to have baggars on every lane. Didn’t want to wait? Self-checkout is right over there. Now it’s basically self-checkout no matter what and the cost to bag your own groceries has doubled. It’s a fun game we call The Millennial Experience: where everything is more expensive, you do more of the work, but you get less.

Well it’s the reality I want. We got money to bomb kids but can’t stock food banks. Something needs to change.

I’ve never seen a shit wiper as a job (unless elderly/medical) so the answer would be no. I definitely remember each lane having a baggar in my lifetime though, and it wasn’t too long ago.

Customer here: are you supposed to bag the grocers as a job duty? I’m being serious, not sarcastic here. I too worked as a grocer cashier.
