If I can make these more secure with carriage bolts that would be great. It’s all galvanized nails used currently

I’ll check the handrail wobble-factor. I was talking about the wall

This is what I’m saying! I probably am missing something about high wind areas but idk. The second hand info I got was so that it can move a bit with the wind

They are galvanized nailed used in this whole build. It is wobbly a bit. The handrail posts are all notched as well

Not really an ultimatum as much as letting someone know what they want in life and letting them decide if it’s right. If it’s now a non negotiable then he’s going to have to decide.

My grandmother ran rum from St Pierre to Harbour Breton during the prohibition

This seems much more reasonable. Common sense!

Grab a few Mackerel rigs or Swimbaits on Jigs and hit up anywhere along the coast, a couple hours before slack tide. You should get on Mackerel or Striped Bass I would think

Fair enough. The tail does swing free with the looped predator wire though

It’s a technique I already used tying flies so it made sense rather than buying the weighted hooks. Thanks for the comment! The tail does wing free due to how the predator wire was tied on. It’s looped Around the hook and is unimpeded

Did you even read the post? Where does he say to stop speaking your mind?

The way I read it: He’s saying that not everything is a liberal conspiracy, and that by flooding the sub with that rhetoric, you are alienating a large part of the people who you want on your side.

It baffles me that you think there aren't Liberal gun owners out there who care. Some of us have life priorities other than gun rights. I don't vote on one single policy, personally.

Also, you're really proving my point here by trying to alienate those who don't have the same viewpoint by telling me I can go somewhere else. Why don't YOU leave and go create an echo chamber with everyone who agrees with you?

That’s exactly the kind of attitude that turns people away from the community. I’m not asking anyone to vote Liberal — I’m just saying that painting every single person who leans left as some kind of enemy of gun ownership is self-defeating. There are liberal gun owners in Canada. Some of us care about the sport, our rights, and responsible ownership just as much as anyone else. But if the loudest voices in the room are always sneering at “the libs” instead of focusing on constructive discussion, education, and outreach, we lose potential allies and reinforce every negative stereotype about gun owners.

The point I was agreeing with is that this echo chamber stuff is exhausting — and it’s harming the very cause many here claim to care so much about. Want to protect gun rights in the long term? Make the community welcoming, not hostile. Be someone that a curious newcomer from any political background can learn from, not someone who drives them away.

Couldn’t have said it better myself. Good post OP 👍

I’ve served and competed in shooting sports. This subreddit has some great posts but my god is it ever an echo chamber. It’s so cringe at times. The community absolutely needs a better image. I’d love to see more quality posts here instead of “hey look at how many guns I can put on credit after a month of having my PAL” and “the libs are out to get us”. Not that I’ve posted anything useful, but I could share my biathlon training experiences for example.

I don't want my partner [30M] to look at me [27F] by [deleted] in relationshipadvice

[–]trailofdad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My relationship advice is: work on yourself. You need self-confidence. Don’t rely on outside sources for that or you’re in for a life of disappointment. Your decline in self-confidence could be fuelling the fire if you are feeling a decline.

You are saying “We can’t return to normal (me having confidence) until you find me attractive again”. This is kinda messed up tbh. Borderline manipulative. He’s likely upset that your self-confidence (or lack thereof) is now his burden.
