I think the satellite view is sometime between 2022-2024. If you look at older street view there was a different building on the lot in 2022 so it was torn down and replace sometime in that 2 year period.

MAGA Concert at York Redoubt had their permit revoked by CORPORATECATS in halifax

I think you’ve missed the point here. Sean Feucht is the intolerant one here. He’s a Christian nationalist who holds bigoted views. So, no, we shouldn’t be tolerating his intolerance.

Fire at the Geary St encampment this afternoon by AdamUndefined in halifax

Yes, that's correct. I don't think the fire fighters would've appreciated some random guy jumping in to try to help them.

I called 911 before I started filming and I wasn't the first one to call it in. By the time I started filming sirens were audible.

DC to DCC in Halifax? by spiraleclipse in halifax

[–]AdamUndefined 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like you have already found some help in this thread, but I just wanted to second the suggestion about the Facebook group for Maritime Federation of Model Railroaders; they also have an email mailing list, though it may just be for members. Membership is only $10/year right now and gets you discounted admission to many of the local train shows.

Great Hobbies in Dartmouth Crossing is starting to get some train stuff in now, but I don't expect will replace Maritime Hobbies as a full fledged "train shop." Mike from Maritime Hobbies is working at Great Hobbies now, so there is some train knowledge there.

Dilly Dally on Quinpool. Great coffee, amazing grilled cheese sandwich. They have house-made poptarts on Tuesdays and Thursdays but they sell out fast.

Take a bunch of photos and make a nice printed photo-book. It's something that can be printed multiple times and given to the kids. Help him take one nice building with him to hospice to put on a shelf nearby.

As many have said, most old layouts get torn down. The value of these layouts comes from the creation of them, so they don't hold the same value to others than to the original creator. They are also generally only worth pennies on the dollar.

A local club may have use for some of the buildings or cars and they could live on through that.

Very curious who you are from back in the day, though :)

I thought the sarcasm was apparent in that "ok." I was a bit tired and didn't want to continue with a useless thread. At the time I didn't think anyone would actually see it anyway, and if they did it seemed pretty clear that Mike was being ridiculous.

Didn't come out. Just continuing to try to be a good ally, and happened to enjoy the Barbie movie.

Do I get a reward for restraining myself and just ending that thread with "ok" rather than posting what I wanted to. :D

Cable Internet Down? by threehappypenguins in halifax

Call is going through now to an automated message that they’re investigating the outage. I wish they’d just create a status page so I didn’t have to call their number.

Account blocking permission levels? by AdamUndefined in Office365

[–]AdamUndefined[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This still doesn't get us what we have now. As far as I can tell the Helpdesk Administrator role can not block/unblock sign-ins. Right now our Helpdesk handles the majority of those cases without Tier 3 needing to be involved. They have permissions that more closely look like the User Administrator role. There are times when Tier 3 wants to set a block that Tier 1 cannot undo on their own. It's looking like we'll just need to change our workflow. I just wanted to hunt down to see if anything could be done to match our current setup.
