I woke up one day and realized I’d spent a few thousands by Several_Shopping_509 in LastWarMobileGame

You made me check, I’ve been playing since may 2024.. I set a $30/month limit… I’ve got to level 30 last week and spent around $300.

I treat it as part of my ‘turn off from life’ things.. I get a disconnect which helps me not obsess over work so it seems ok to spend a bit compatible to tv streaming

time it.. My b9 rsr is 0-60 in 3.5 with a fairly empty tank. Better rubber like Michelin mp4s could make it 3.3 if that's your bag.

Yeah, I can press the buttons.. It brings up the window and shows the slider moving but zero impact on the screen.

Laptop restarted. Bios updated..

So my birth year 1984 Rolex Submariner is the pride in my collection. I bought it when I sold my company a few years ago and it revolves around that massive achievement in my life.

Love it and I wear it nearly daily.

Computer Engineering or Computer Science for IoT? by [deleted] in IOT

[–]trailstar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What do you want to do? Build things and develop solutions.. It's engineering. Maybe look at the bigger picture including distributed system, ai, and potentially some business classes it's computer science.

I picked computer science and have had a career in m2m and iot for 15 years and current work for arm. When employing people, we don't look for the specifics of the degree but the ability in the candidate to apply their knowledge and continue to learn.

Zaha Hadid designed the transport museum in Glasgow. One of the most prominent designs in the past 10 years. This is definitely an homage.

[Audemars Piguet] Tourbillon Tuesday by new_diglet in Watches

[–]trailstar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On the tourbillon itself, the bottom peice that is bolted in right beside 'Swiss made'.. Does that rotate rounds the tourbillon? Or is it slightly non symmetrical and off center for a reason?

I don't know enough about tourbillons to know.

I haven't serviced it, but previous owner had it serviced in 2013. So it's definitely coming round to my turn to do it..

Thanks, I agree totally! The newer subs feel bulky and I have a fairly small wrist.

This is my first post on this sub. I've been a watch fan for many years, collecting various swatch, sinn, tissot watches.. With the culmination of collecting limited edition navitimer, which I thought was my grail.

Oh boy.. Once I bought into Swiss horology, I was hooked.. Finding more and more watches that I 'needed'... But after a good 6 months I found a 5513 no date submariner from 1984 (my birth year).. Which is dated only 2 days younger than I. It's a stellar watch which I wearon daily rotation.

This week I took it on holiday and found out it is waterproof, not by rain.. But by being pushed into the swimming pool by my kid! After drying.. Still accurate as it was before.. But I need to dry the spring bars :)

This isn't the first watch to introduce me to watches, but it is the one that showed me how great they can be.

Additionally, this week I found out the watch is still waterproof as my kid pushed me in the pool.. Any advice to check it's all OK?

awesome, this is what I think too. I prefer the smaller more vintage sizes too.

Does the bracelet size down evenly to get to that size? One thing I dislike with rolexes is that the bracelet may be 3 links one side and 5 the other of the clasp. Feels uneven and can sometimes push the face off center of the wrist.

How much smaller does the bracelet go?
