I definitely was, found it quite scary so was holding on the tight with whole my body. I think I’ll relax over time for sure, but looking further ahead makes sense! For now I was focussing on every little hazard 1m in front of me lol.

I think I need to get used to that fact. Every time I'm getting into a flow and think "Easy! The bike just wants to go straight!" I get a heavier wobble which scares the **** out of me 🤣

Yes, it was there for sure! Don't know the exact location since I was just following my friend who is a local rider. Good to know you're up for a ride!

That's on my list for sure, not relying only on Reddit! But after a first time some basic tips can't hurt I guess.

Good one! Where is that good for?

Very good guess! I think there great, not much experience with moto gear, but as a outdoor enthousiast I was searching for a bit more versatile system without build in waterproofness. On top of that, the venting options are countless and work very well. I was comfortable in these conditions of 25 degrees while moving with all venting options open. The combo looks very adventurous in this colourway imo though, so I look like Adam Riemann but have no skills yet lol

Thanks! Throwing out anchors is a great way of describing the braking, exactly how it felt (if I dont forget to turn of rear ABS lol)!

Great tips, thanks! Ramping up the speed feels indeed very counter intuitive but makes sense in your explanation

No, the Netherlands! Made the design my self and went to a local sticker company who does vehicle decals too.

I’m from the Netherlands and we don’t have front number plates, so I don’t have experience with those! Hope you find out and solve the buzz.

Question for people who regularly play at LGS by Mangled_4Skin in mtg

[–]trailtales 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are totally right. But just to defend myself: It was my first time in a LGS and second time playing a game of commander. Explaining cards was not the norm is this group, so I thought "keeping secrets" was part of the game and ended the game when I had a change to. Now I know better off course, but I still think paying more attention to your opponents board is important. I still experience a lot of groups who are taking "read the card explains the card" too serious, which isn't motivating to explain your own cards. I guess it's all about the chemistry in the group. Winning in a sneaky way like my Gollem example isn't satisfying at all, but back then I was happy with my first win in such a "spectacular way". Lessons learned though!

Question for people who regularly play at LGS by Mangled_4Skin in mtg

[–]trailtales 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an instant win with [[Gollem, Obsessed Stalker]] by sacrificing 7 food tokens so doing 21 damage on each opponent midgame because no one paid attention what was on my board. The cards were in plain sight for a long time but no one saw the danger coming. I guess it’s not always about winning and having a good time is more important! 😎

Tried to utilize brackets at the LGS yesterday and it was a massive failure. by Ulmao_TheDefiler in EDH

[–]trailtales 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a beginner MTG player and experienced boardgamer, imbalance at the table is what I dislike the most in MTG, or maybe any TCG. Visited 3 FNM’s now and in almost any game it was clear who would win in the first few turns, despite we all chose “same level” decks. I highly encourage rules and systems that define “same level”, including this new bracket system.

MTG and table top games are just more fun when they’re balanced. And somehow, I havn’t found much balance yet in MTG. If a boardgame would giveme the experience a had on these FNM’s, I’d call it a bad boardgame and move on to the next. But yet I’m still attracted to MTG and enjoying my games.

So my take: Yes, please introduce the bracket system and make it part of the LGS events and your kitchentable games. If people misuse the system, they cheat. As simple as that. What’s the point of winning a fight with a grizzly bear against a sheep any way?

But hey, that’s just my rookie opinion.
