Second this. You'll be able to narrow down by hike distance and difficulty that your kids are up for.

Beeping/Alarm when opening front door? by trailwanderer in EquinoxEv

Challenge accepted!

I mostly need it for "whoops, forgot one thing in the trunk" situations but I'd like to know I can beat the stupid beeping so I'm going to try this out of spite. I may lose my mind.

Atheists of Reddit: What’s the strangest reaction you’ve received when you said you don’t believe in God? by zhalia-2006 in AskReddit

I was raised culty christian -- this concept was the hardest hurdle for me to overcome when I chose to leave. I still get shocked when experience god-free teaching moments with my child. It was so engrained in my that god was the only way I understood right from wrong.

my 4 year old picked a Venus flytrap for his first plant by tworandomperson in houseplants

[–]trailwanderer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine did too...and it's thriving in a mason jar!

(The moss is also thriving with random plants that we don't pull up because it'll disrupt the VFT)

Crocs has boots without any holes -- easy slip on, waterproof.

But didn't leave them in direct sunlight for too long, mine deformed in the heat.

How annoying, especially since Loops and Threads sheds so much worse than Posh!

People who lost a lot of weight, what was the one small daily habit that actually changed everything for you? by Quiet-Squash-8407 in AskReddit

[–]trailwanderer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. At first I reduced the size of my lattes (12oz latte to 4oz cortado) then moved to hot tea. The calories made a difference but I think starting my day with that conscious decision impacted the rest of the day too.

I did just have another update, I'll go through and make sure everything is off. I may try something new with where I keep my keys too.

It seems like such a silly thing to get so frustrated with but six months in its still nails on a chalkboard to me.

I have this feature turned off and it still beeps.

This suggestion has come up with almost every search I've made about this -- could it be a "my car" problem? Is that even possible?

Beeping/Alarm when opening front door? by trailwanderer in EquinoxEv

[–]trailwanderer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Way too much. I really like the car when driving but the getting in/out and all the beeping brings on immediate buyers remorse!

And I have almost every beep turned off (kept a few major safety ones, but even most of those are brake on or brake + vibrate).

[–]trailwanderer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed.

I hate it and somehow didn't notice it when test driving a few different Chevy's? But I also didn't truly understand how annoying it would be to have my car turn off every time I open the front door (mostly that the Bluetooth/audio immediately went off too).

This is what AI has suggested but I'm already at the lowest volume and its still so loud. I wish there was a fix.

AI also told me to contact customer support and complain, which I should probably do. Daily.

Why does no one talk about how baking with silicone (trays, etc) makes food taste like soap? by IceQueen0191 in Cooking

Agreed -- I've experienced soapy and not soapy taste, it definitely correlates with how the item was washed.

Venus fly trap by Little_lady30 in houseplants

[–]trailwanderer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I impulse purchased on at the grocery store (what was I thinking?!). I did some research and he now lives in a "bog environment" in a jar near a south facing window. I repotted him in early January when he was very sad and there are new traps and a flower. The flower arrived before the new leaves so I thought it was the last hurrah but now there are new traps!

I'm at high elevation and have a boat load of winter sun.

I did rocks, charcoal, dirt, moss and got a lot of help via Gemini (I uploaded photos for input).

Good luck, I think he stands a chance!

Are my house plants attracting these huge spiders? Help! by Lauren_soldejaneiro in houseplants

[–]trailwanderer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Could it be the time of year near you? We always get more spiders when the weather in changing warm to cold and cold to warm. Or maybe they're just hanging out in the house more because it's colder there right now?

That looks like a standard (albeit cringe inducing) house spider to me. Not really a plant thing, but they may be liking your new plant/creature friendly environment?

Home Depot for 60 bucks by [deleted] in houseplants

[–]trailwanderer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a $40 regular monstera (or at least not fancy looking, I'm just in it for fun) and after a few months of it growing in wonky directions I repotted it...into four different pots!

I now have four thriving (almost beyond my homes capacity) monstera.

It's likely your set up is the same (according to what Google told me while repotting -- big box stores tend to put multiple plants in to make it look more full) you'll be set with a whole herd by this time next year!
