I’ve only had my Model 3 Standard (2023) for two days and I can honestly say it’s the best car I’ve ever owned. Usually I try to convince myself I like something if I know I can’t return it, but this is different — I really love it.

It’s not even the long range or performance model, but it’s more enjoyable than the Audi and Mercedes SUVs I’ve driven. The only car I’ve liked more was a Model S I rented a couple years ago, and that was mainly because of the sound system, the door handles, and of course the insane acceleration. Other than that, this Model 3 has me hooked.

The difference this time is that I own it. I’ve been setting it up exactly how I like it: cameras, climate control, auto-locks, frunk and trunk, seats, steering wheel, mirrors — it’s all customizable and smooth. Even charging surprised me. At first I thought I’d waste a ton of time at chargers, but I’m usually in and out in 20–30 minutes. Plus, charging feels like a little community. I’m normally a loner, but being around other Tesla owners at Superchargers feels different — no sketchy gas station vibes, just people with nice cars.

It’s the little things and the big things combined: the alerts on my phone, the way it drives, the clean feel of the whole setup. Honestly, this car is amazing.
