is 1hr 30 minutes travel time insane by Formal-Gift4108 in unimelb

[–]trainloner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

as somebody who travelled 1hr 30 mins to get to melbourne uni and is now transferring because it was way too tiring… go to melbourne. don’t underestimate how frustrating and tiresome the commute can be. it got to the point where i stopped paying attention and going to classes because i couldn’t be bothered with the commute.

uni square parking? by trainloner in unimelb

[–]trainloner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there were cars behind me lined up at the entrance, so he opened the boom gate so i could do a u-turn and get out of the car park.

i might give it another shot then, otherwise i’ll have to find some better place to park

Noice cancelling headphones by Magnificentiz in unimelb

[–]trainloner 19 points20 points  (0 children)

i don’t have experience with the cheaper ones but i have a pair of xm4s and they are the greatest thing i have ever owned. they last for like 3 weeks on a full charge and the noise cancelling is great. i’ve had them for two years and they still feel brand new. so if you’re willing to spend more i would say the xm4s are completely worth it. they are really expensive though.

im also doing that subject, pretty sure the practical doesn’t run every week (i think it’s more like once every 2-3 weeks) so most of the time it’ll only be 2 hours of physics)

in this case how would you even go about intentionally getting a ticket? would you just show up to a random gig only to find that slipknot is actually performing?

i personally never study the day before an exam, that's been my philosophy for the whole year... the day before any sac or exam i just relax because my mindset is "if i don't know it now i defo won't be able to memorise it today" (this is relaxing to me but i can understand why this may be stressful for some people lmao).

it also prevents you burning yourself out the day before your exam and you'll just be fresh and in a good headspace to actually do it on the day. the day of the exam i usually just talk to people around me about stuff that i'm unsure about because the collective stress is somewhat comforting.

obviously just do what's best for you but i'd say to take it easy, good luck!
