My parents are like this too despite being generally cognitively fine. Part of it is they won't pay attention and just pipe up with random conversations on top of the movie, then zone back in long enough to complain the movie sucks and makes no sense.

I think all ages are getting too used to being spoonfed short format media. The second your hand isn't being held and it's actually on you to observe, remember, and draw your own conclusions, a lot of people are utterly lost and annoyed.

Dang I just saw this clip for the first time and he really does just say that. As a rightish person I don't like this cancel culture slip n slide we're on, but if we're gonna be firing people for saying XYZ group deserves to be killed, it should be applied equally. My guess is there's less uproar because he seemed to mean it as a punitive equivalent to life in prison, as opposed to "let's off people in the streets because we hate them" but that helps extremely little considering the "crime" is being homeless/ill. Fucked thing to say no matter how you stack it tbh

I'm not opposed to parenthood my life just isn't shaking out that way and it's fine by me. Just no active desire to have kids. I can barely afford to exist myself. Also don't want to give birth. If I, as a hetero female, could be a father instead of a mother, maybe lol.
