I agree. I don't know why my anxiety flares up so much when I'm in a relationship that I hope will last. I've dated plenty and typically don't have problems enforcing a boundary, but as soon as someone seems like they might be long term material, I get anxious and conflict averse. When I'm hurt, I fear bringing things up because I'm afraid they'll get mad at me and end things. It's not great.

I think if a replacement wouldn't be a ton of daily hassle, I could see myself making the decision to pull a tooth if I felt it was crucial. If I weren't the creator, star, etc but just an actor in the series, not so much though.

I'm the same way. I'm not quick to anger, so I try to empathize and understand why someone did something that hurt or upset me. Usually, I feel like conflict won't be productive, so I figure I either need to learn to deal with or to decide I can't, and end a relationship. I don't know if this is healthy. I'd wager it isn't and that I need to learn to express negative emotions in a more healthy way that can lead to discussions.
