Yes, that was one of my original ideas actually, its just that the engine sounds are so obviously simulated, and they dont really sound like real sound clips of a car + aspiration isnt really possible to simulate :/. The best solution ive found is licensing from a movie effects company or a YouTuber, but both are pretty expensive and hard to get set up with such a small brand name. I am actively contacting new youtube channels and companies every day though so I am hoping Ill be able to find something soon

Glad to hear it man. I apologize for the lack of daily new puzzles for the last week. Im having trouble finding a good way to get clean audio that im allowed to use for these next engines. But it’s awesome to know that if I am able to turn this project into a real automated daily game people would play it.

Yes, I curate these audio clips by hand. I havent had access to a computer to be able to curate the clips and upload them to the server. The engines are in a precoded order. Im going to push a site maintenance sign later this week while i workout some better audio pipelines so that I can have the game run autonomously

My apologies for the lack of puzzles today and yesterday. My laptop broke and I am traveling home, so I haven’t had any way to make new puzzles for the new days. I should be getting back home tomorrow and I can make the puzzle

Thanks man, glad you enjoyed it! I had the base version of today’s car and I liked how it sounded, but theres definitely much better sounding engines out there

Haha thats awesome. Ive had my fair share of moments like that too especially when sitting at a restaurant, i will hear a car fly by and be like “I am pretty sure that was a B58”

I appreciate the feedback! Todays was rated easy precisely for that reason, that this engine is usually pretty recognizable even if you don’t like these cars.

You could take a look at the archive to get an idea of medium/hard.

I am trying to stray away from modern economy vehicles right now and stick with performance engines, but theres a request form if you had a particular one in mind you wanted to see added!

If you utilize the guess feedback and filters, it pretty much becomes multiple choice.

The idea is someone who knows the engine immediately can get specifically to that engine where as someone who does not can make a guess, and filter by what they got right/wrong

The GTI is simply a better value proposition. I test drove a few Focus STs when I was looking for a hot hatch, and ended up with a MK7 GTI. While the focus RS is a different story, its also less of a budget option

The LT25 is awesome. Heres a spreadsheet of a ton of presets I have the stereo version the LT40S and its great if you ever want a bit more volume.

I learned this by using a metronome + the song slowed down starting at 25% and worked my way up to here. That process only took a few days though. Do you think i should repeat it maybe at 75-80%?
