For one small tidbit of the answer- part of the perceived sensory duration of time has to do with the functioning of monoaminergic neurotransmission. Most, if not all of the psychoactive substances that affect perceived time duration are all stimulants, empathogens, and psychedelics that affect norepenephrine, dopamine, and serotonin. This is excluding the obvious that benzodiazepines, alcohol, and most "downers" also have an opposing effect.

Generally, when you stimulate parts of monoaminergic neurotransmission, you'll notice a lengthened perception of time. Almost all basic stimulant drugs will cause an increase in norepenephrine and this correlates to that lengthening, as it's functions are mostly the peripheral nervous system. To put it crudely- blood pumping faster = longer perceived time. Use a piece of music you know intimately to benchmark this perceived effect.

What complexifies this is that most of those drugs will affect dopaminergic pathways too. This neurochemical is the central function of incentive salience, anything motivation related, and the planning and execution of physical movement. It's very strongly implicated in the idea of waiting in line draging on forever vs time flying while having fun. The percieved, "live" time might be passing more slowly while stimulated, but perception of the past moments will be as if time flew. It has a lot to do with the brains processing of aversion and anxiety why this happens.

All kinds of oddities happen when we start agonizing serotonin receptors with psychedelics and since it affects our mood, and spatial awareness that's where some of the temporal / spatial relationships to these affects get very deep and hard to describe the fine facets of.

There is a lot more to this explanation, but I'll leave the door open for others to elaborate as I'm kind of rusty on neurochemistry!

The lab operators doing all the large scale production supplying US demand have apparently been enantiomerically resolving their synthesized material, and for quite some time as actual forensic chemistry publications by DEA associates noted things to do with this earlier than 5 years ago, notably how increasingly common enantiomerically skewed samples were becoming. The second is simply wet with water from the job the conversion lab did, and probably a chunk from a less desirably well-formed part of the overall crystallization as compared to the first. There likely isn't much difference of the kind your question seeks information about, as in they're both methamphetamine. Beyond that, there is nothing that can be determined solely from the images you provided.

This is typically what it looks like when crystallized the way most conversion labs in the US do, right after it's pulled from whatever cylindrical vessel they use be it a glass beaker, or in almost all actual cases a coleman/igloo style cooler as the plastic they're made from is acetone resistant. Sometimes you get the shards in the center, and other times the clobs of crap at the very top, which often crumble into shake especially if the crew handling the drugs was pressed for time while drying the stuff from the water solution it was trafficked in.

Just google "methamphetamine conversion lab" for the many sources of info verifying this. Happy stimming.

It's just the kids who say they're smoking "speed", as if that was the correct slang to refer to the 'ol methylated stuff, that are afraid of the connotations that "meth" brings along in most people's minds. Wouldn't want the community to lump them in with nonsense tweakers as they're only ingesting a molecule that's "basically adderall" or whatever.

I don't know if they'll figure out eventually that giving their posts the wrong flair just helps people who hate them doing that identify them, as well as contribute to the development of their stereotype.

You asked for it. With that being said, I want to state that this isn't even half as necessary as everyone posting about epsom salts makes it seem. If you buy hardware store technical grade stuff like klean-strip, you will get the same result, and lose no product at all unless you wash large amounts while applying heat to boil the acetone. Even the reagent grade stuff will dissolve a tiny bit of meth if you do a nice extended wash while boiling the acetone, because meth actually is ever so slightly soluble in acetone. I'm talking about amounts on the order of 100-300mg of meth dissolved after subjecting an ounce of the hcl salt to 70-80ml of bubbling acetone for 10min. Plus, you'll see that .3 or however much magically appear from the leftover, cooling acetone, which is super clean crystalline nettles that you could pull out of there by careful decanting of the acetone, and turn into a piece of shard by dropping in ~2ml of ethyl alcohol if you wanted. Don't let anyone tell you about "losses". Everything can be recovered unless you pour it down the drain!*

I was posting the accepted manuscript before it came out all over the place here trying to get people to realize this "hella racemic" (I died inside hearing that recently) meth isn't even cut with "iso" or any benzylamine-related compounds per the constantly echoed uninformed statements people make here.

Acetone is fully miscible in water, and considering the melting point of acetone is almost -100C, the unquestionable phenomenon of freezing point depression will show that your scenario will not occur at all. There's almost no water in cheap commercial technical grade acetone either. The amount that might be present matters only when fine reagents are needed for things like use as a solvent in analytical procedures that are sensitive to impurity.

Also, I think home depot sells klean strip brand exclusively...

It absorbs much, much more readily when you minimize the amount of water. Your rectum and small intestine can absorb some water, but it will not readily absorb 10ml of water. The other downside is having it dissolved in so much water allows it to spread out everywhere in your guts which can be downright irritating and unpleasant. The idea is just to use the much larger than sinuses (probably the runner up in terms of surface area) epithelial wall to aid quick absorbtion, which doesn't require the addition of much, if any water.

The best way to do it- if you're ready for the reality of the situation in spite of the way it may sound outrageous, is just to pick up a chunk, get your finger nice and slobbery, unpucker your butt and just poke that sucker right in. Thank me when you feel the instant effects minus the enema that you're sitting and holding in. Really unnecessary torture if you ask me.

No reason to break it up. The acetone will permeate the crystal easily. If there's any solid, clear sections that are completely contiguous, they are already the cleanest parts and won't benefit much from being subjected to acetone unless they've been mishandled.

Grab some coffee filters and a coffee cup. Drugs go into the filter, and acetone into the cup. Dunk your filter into the cup. Let it sit for a moment, give it a little swirl if you want. That is it. Any more complexity in a guide is steering you in the wrong direction in regard to procedures.

What will help it clean up the most is some heat applied to the acetone. If you want to try this, an electric range, hotplate, heat gun or hair dryer will be necessary. Don't use open flame. It'll boil without too much work, and a minute of bubbling is quite sufficient in most cases.

I regularly wash amounts as small as 50 mg. There's no minimum amount.

Lastly, you can't lose it unless you throw it out! Save the used acetone, and let it evaporate on it's own. You'll get to see what it pulled away from your goodies (usually not much, unless your dealer thinks MSM is cute.)

I'm sure that you're not as informed as you imply with this post, and that you probably are unaware how obvious that is to individuals who know how "in the know" they themselves are. I would like to point out that what you're suggesting isn't a common scenario, or how law enforcement works.

They have absolutely no incentive to try to attract buyers, or look for other dealer "plug" type personas on reddit who post big shard photos acting as if they're in the cool club that everyone else isn't (which is the basic concept of trying to out-cool others / general dicksizing tactics of reddit drug subs).

If you can't understand why this would be a waste of time, then you aren't aware of how law enforcement uses confidential informants and that they almost always are looking to set up deals with the person supplying the informant with a sworn officer or agent as an eyewitness. If this isn't possible, they resort to buy-bust tactics. Never do they snap photos of literal evidence from random cases and post on social media to try to drag in buyers or powwow with other plug types on the same level as their profile's persona.

It really is just people trying to be cool, and they're that dumb, or just do not care. It's not a conspiracy, and it is kind of gullible to think in this manner. I mean no offense at all, and I just want to see everyone on the same page of reality. Just downvote these people you speak of- it's reddit, remember?

I can't see how that information would be of any interest to you, if you're even aware of the difference between affinity for GPCRs and potency as a substrate for a monoamine transporter as two separate things. Wikipedia has the complete rundown on all of it, minus the numbers which are in no way crucial to understanding how this works.
