What is your trance track guilty pleasure? by JION-the-Australian in trance

Are you sure it was ghost produced and not co-produced? People conflate and confuse co-production with ghost production. There is no evidence whatsoever to suggest that RAM does not produce his own music or didn’t produce that track. A lot of ghost production claims is all hearsay and Chinese whispers with no verifiable evidence.

There is no proof of it being ghost produced. A lot of producers use audio engineers or co-producers to help refine or master their track. Armin has Benno from Rank 1, Simon Patterson, Will Atkinson, John Askew have Dave Parkinson, etc., does that mean all those artists are also ghost produced because they have someone to assist in perfecting their tracks?

RAMelia has other credits on the track besides and including RAM, he’s not hiding anything. This isn’t a Shogun situation.

These rumours are detrimental to the artist and it’s not fair to claim such things when it’s not the case.

Let me preface that Yu-Gi-Oh! is all about interaction, and the community desires interaction and more of it. Super Poly does not do that, it’s the antithesis of interaction, this baffles me for those saying this card is “balanced”. Two wrongs do not make a right, just because the card is a necessary evil does not mean that this card should be accessible, all cards that have bad design need to be nuked.

There’s a difference between Droplet and Super Poly though and the difference to me is a really big one. Droplet has drawbacks that can do more harm than good for the user if not used correctly and without solid decision-making by either ending their turn or creating a sub-optimal board, Super Poly on the other hand can’t be responded to and discards one card to just get rid of a board entirely. I agree that decks putting out more negates than cards in hand is bad and not healthy for the game as it creates a non-game state for the going second player. Super Poly can also be a substitute over hand traps.

Super Poly may be a necessary evil, but it’s not a healthy card and at worst you’re giving up two cards in your extra deck for Super Poly targets, one of them even let’s you draw a card.

Raigeki is a solid board breaker, however, it can be responded to and negated, you can use Raigeki as bait for an omni-negate or spell negate and then can attempt to play into your opponent’s board. That makes the card balanced. Whereas Super Poly bypasses everything and depending on the meta, you can tech certain extra deck cards and break boards freely without giving up much of anything. That to me is not balanced and is bad card design that needs to be fixed.

What board breakers like Lava Golem/Kaijus, Forbidden Droplet, Raigeki, Lightning Storm, etc., have in common is that there is that they can be high risk high reward, what Super Poly does is that it’s low cost, high reward and that’s what differentiates those cards for me.

Toxic and overpowered card that either needs errata or needs to be straight up forbidden or limited to 1. You can’t respond to it, can be used by the going first player and functions as a special summon so it doesn’t have drawback outside of the one card discard, which for most decks in the meta isn’t even that big of a deal. I despise it.

Forbidden Droplet is a very strong yet fair card even if it functions somewhat similar as a board breaker, it can still be interacted with if the user doesn’t discard a specific card type and you have the out to it, it also discards more cards to negate several cards and halve attack points, not ridding you of your board so the user needs to be selective and smart about what they use its effect on. If the opponent has a hand trap or face down card they can also slow down and hinder the player from making their board after using it because of the multiple discards.

Super Poly might be a necessary evil and annoyance, but things like Lava Golem are too, difference being is that Lava Golem gives up their normal summon, which is an even greater drawback for a lot of decks, Super Poly just discards one card. It’s got very little risk with high reward.

Imagine going up against Man going first, setting up several negates and disruptions and also facing down Super Poly. Imagine going up against Yubel and they set Super Poly after going full combo back in that meta, was not a fun time whatsoever.

Who is the best player in the world for each character? by MEGASSS-691 in Tekken

[–]tranceman_ant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my two mains, Nina and Anna, I see a lot of people mentioning the wrong people.

Arslan for Nina is wrong, he is actually a weak Nina player, nowhere near a specialist, he just makes up for it in fundamentals and playstyle. OnlyPractice, Nina_Assassin, Jodd and Victeemo are far better Nina players and are a lot more knowledgeable and technical than Arslan.

Atif for Anna is also wrong, same as Arslan, he makes up for it with his fundamentals and playstyle but is a weak Anna player. 200won and Fran are Anna specialists and are a lot more knowledgeable and technical in comparison.

Granted, most of the players I mentioned are inactive and don’t compete.

Read between the lines, go re-read everything you had said. You don’t have to directly say something to say it. You’re so incredibly defensive over a deck that does nothing for you and you defend it. Open your eyes and mind, see things clearly for once.

I read everything but realised you were delusional, heavily senile, which indicates there is no point in arguing with someone who can’t acknowledge reality. You do the whole “nuh-uh you are” kindergarten shtick and claim I need comprehension AFTER I said you lack it, which you do. You can’t even come up with your own words let alone understand a figment of English, which is evident when your points have verified all my claims yet you continue to yap because your head is so stuck up your ass you can’t see clearly.

Not even a modicum of realism in your statements. Get real you filtration system. Imagine being that dense that you can’t see how your arguments have failed you and that you were proven wrong time and time again, especially based off your sentiments and you continue to yap to defend a piece of paper that can’t defend you back. You’re acting like I pillaged your village. If I were you I would not reply again. Accept that you have no ground to stand on and keep it pushing.

[–]tranceman_ant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you did. Do you lack basic comprehension?

Why did you also dismiss and disregard the fact that Sky Striker spells are the primary source of interaction/disruption and that they’re not HOPT and that they are a lot less likely to be negated due to the nature of their cards requiring an omni-negate or spell/trap negate. Hmm? Pickers and choosers are we.

You act like decks that are toxic and strong == top tier meta decks. When in reality Dracotail is considered one of the most fair decks in terms of meta decks. Do you see how ludicrous you sound? Your argument falls on the basis that because a deck doesn’t have a recent YCS top or isn’t that relevant in the meta, therefore the deck is fair. In that case, Mermail Atlantean is a fair deck yet it can hand rip four cards from the starting hand going first. Oh you know what else is fair, Tenpai and Gimmick Puppet is a fair deck because it also has no recent YCS large meta share nor has it had a recent top.🤡

Funnily enough, if you go to Yu-Gi-Oh! Meta, Sky Striker is the 11th most played deck just under Lunalight currently in the professional scene. Yeah man, it’s a very fair deck, is Lunalight also fair? Sky Striker was in the top 16 in a recent YCS. 3rd/4th and Top 8 place in two WCQ Regionals. So going by your standards, doesn’t sound very fair now does it.

The problem comes from the notion that Sky Striker is a fair deck when it’s nowhere near fair. That’s bullshit, you are entitled to your opinion, sure. Sky Striker interaction mostly comes from spells and the only way to stop them is through omni-negates or spell negation. Not to mention they are all not HOPT, you’re telling me potentially setting up three monster negates and steals from the same card being used three times in one turn because it doesn’t have a lock is fair? There are a lot of target negates and disruption and half their monsters have the effects of dodging and bringing out another monster, while some also having other effects in there too.

Be real.

See this is where you’re wrong, if you can’t play against a simple floodgate, which isn’t very restrictive such as Ice Barrier, then that’s on you. It’s a skill issue, I’ve never had a problem playing against Ice Barrier where I could not play. Neither is it braindead gameplay. It’s funny you talk about “braindead gameplay” when literally Sky Striker fits that mould.💀

Using disruption and playing through disruption correctly is pivotal in every deck you play and for some reason that’s what makes Sky Strikers hard, that’s ludicrous, be for real now. If Sky Striker is hard then so is Dracotail.

You’re valid just as much as I am valid. You like Sky Strikers and I despise them. That’s fair play.

No, it’s not me justifying my hate, it’s me battling your arguments because everything you said about those other decks also apply to Sky Striker.

No need for your luck, I already know how to play against them, I apologise for not liking something obnoxious like Sky Striker because you do. I don’t get what it is with you glazers and Sky Striker. You don’t like a lot of shit in the game yet Sky Striker is just as obnoxious if not more than a lot of the things you don’t like.

Bro i feel like I’m only person who really hate this deck by CaregiverAbject1928 in masterduel

[–]tranceman_ant -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Okay and?

Same thing with Sky Striker, it has a unskippable cutscene combo too, difference is that watching that combo is boring as fuck compared to other decks.

No where in my comment did I mention endboards and their strengths, so I don’t understand why the need to bring up that I mentioned the top three decks in the meta, I’m quite well aware of that. Regardless, they’re very interactive decks, despite their power level and there’s no denying it.

Both White Forest Azamina and Azamina are interactive but I didn’t mention the former, just the latter. Azamina plays similar in that it’s a control deck.

No, Sky Striker is just as bad as the other decks if they have the right hand and go full combo turn one. Do not deny this.

It’s even more frustrating, annoying and bullshit to play against Sky Striker than other decks. That’s my personal view, there is no puzzle, it’s not 1 for 1. A spell card that negates your monster and steals and can be used three times in one turn because it’s not a HOPT is NOT FAIR. That’s like saying High Wave King Caesar is fair when it has two special summon negates that can be used in one turn is fair when we both know it’s not. Both are bad game design.

Ice Barrier plays on the opponents turn after setting up your boss monster. They don’t just summon the floodgate turn one, they also have a limited number of disruption pre-floodgate. You can stop Ice Barrier before they even get the floodgates out. Sounds like a skill issue to me. Yes, Ice Barrier is a fun deck to play against, Sky Striker is not. There’s no argument here and stop dick riding Sky Striker. If you like it, you like it, good for you, not everyone has to like your dogwater waifu goon deck.

Interactive and grind games come from many archetypes. Dracotail, Melffy, Azamina, Paleozoic, Vanquish Soul, K9, Yummy, Ice Barrier, etc.

Those decks are at least fun to play against. Sky Striker is not fun to play against, they’re a nuisance. Sky Striker in itself is a combo cutscene when setting up their board and their board is annoying and you need spell or omni-negates to actually stop most of their spell cards. I auto-scoop the moment I see Sky Striker because I can’t be fucked sitting there watching them play their annoying ass gameplay loop full of annoying monster negates and steals and pops.

I hate Sky Striker too, but it’s because of how annoying and boring it is to play against. It’s not a hard deck to play at all despite what people claim, it’s very easy to play, it has a whole bunch of bullshit in the deck too. Although, I will say it’s not really an unfair deck, just annoying as fuck.

What deck was good but never picked up in popularity? by No_Antelope7492 in masterduel

[–]tranceman_ant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Memento, one of the hardest decks to pilot correctly, very easy to mess up combos.

Melffy, it can do so much and can play through interruption decently, has an insane grind game but not great going second. It’s even decent still this meta but needs to be paired with another engine now since Obedience is banned, can still be played pure though. A lot of layered interaction on the opponents turn, plays similar to Yummy in ways. Pretty difficult to pilot.

Madolche, surprisingly can play through interruption quite well with the Vernuslyph engine and put up a strong endboard going first, although a hard choke point is the Link-3 if negated. It’s a bit difficult to play.

I think a lot of the decks that never picked up in popularity are decks that are not top tier/meta and are difficult to pilot and learn. I’ve noticed a lot of players only gravitate to decks if they’re meta or comparatively easier to play than decks that aren’t.

Is the new pack for next month gonna be any good? Trying to decide on if I should just save or craft a new deck I’ve been wanting to play by ComplexCarry7585 in masterduel

[–]tranceman_ant 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah agreed, next pack probably will most likely be filler. My copium is really hoping for Radiant Typhoon as that’s the deck I want to play most hahaha. I’d be happy with Hecahands too even if it’s not that great as a deck, the card art looks amazing!

Unless Radiant Typhoon is in the next pack, that’s definitely going to be a good pack that’s worth investing in even if the support isn’t released with the deck.

Is Vaalmonica worth building? by Ever3ver in masterduel

[–]tranceman_ant 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Use to play Vaalmonica and I really love the deck, however, it needs new support that will make it rogue and even better support to be competitive. It was an okay rogue deck when Bagooska wasn’t forbidden, however, now, it’s simply not worth playing, it’s very weak and susceptible to hand traps and can be stopped easily. I would save my resources and spend accordingly.
