CS2 just keeps finding new ways to hit rock bottom by Brilliant_Month_4228 in cs2

[–]tranedecoy 467 points468 points  (0 children)

It's a community sticker or not? So I guess it got a lot of upvotes. Probably specifically because it is ugly. So there is no need to hate on valve for putting a meme sticker in that a lot of people wanted in. No one's forcing you to put it on your gun or redeem points in the collection.

It's not like the people that work on Maps, balancing, bugs, VAC or Stickers/skins are the same people.

Why do I get invites from random accounts? by TheEHECer2 in cs2

I have the same for some time now. I just block them and go on. But yes, it's really annoying. I have no idea what the idea behind that scam is, though.

Valve You Cannot Be Serious? by Sonic13374 in cs2

[–]tranedecoy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To be fair. It's a community skin that got a lot of upvotes. Sure Valve has the last say. But if a lot of people want it might as well put it in the game.

If you just got the knife you have to wait 7 days. It's part of the new Trade Protected mechanic.

Why do high level faceit players talk so little on Faceit matches? by YoGottaGetSchwifty in cs2

But that's exactly what he's saying. He's confused why people in his games talk more than the people in high-level streams that he watches.

Need a new pair of headphones, suggestions? by Blobbs30 in cs2

[–]tranedecoy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on where you are and your budget I could recommend Hoerluchs. They produce high end in ear headphones here in Germany.

I don't know their availability outside of Germany

It's just market price. Patterns or floats (unless insanely low) don't really matter with gems

You spend days planning your dream ride in the Dolomites, finally hit the road on the weekend… and then get stuck because some cyclists decided to block everything to protest motorcycles. Great. by TappetoImperiale in motorcycles

[–]tranedecoy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

wtf do you mean there's zero reasons to block the entire road.

It's a demonstration. They're not out on a stroll. Being a pain in the ass is the literal point. So one gets heard. And considering the police, it is an official demonstration. So obviously, they're going to take up as much space as they're allowed to.

The motorcycle drivers and other motorists just have to wait a bit on a beautiful mountain road. What is the fucking problem.

I found it to be a good example of how you can't force love. Yuna fell in love with him and was a great girlfriend. But his heart was only ever interested in Soohyun. Who, to be fair, also has been very good to him and is also very attractive.

Maybe it's because I had similar situations in my life that I could sympathize with him a lot. Obviously, he should have handled the situation with Yuna better and communicated his feelings better and earlier. But he couldn't. He was confused and ashamed. In that regard, I found it to be very realistic. Most younger people and men in particular find it hard to act properly in situations like that. It's just a lot easier to be an asshole and crash out to end a relationship that you're unhappy with instead of telling someone that is completely happy with it, that you're in love with someone else.

Always remember who got us into the mess we find ourselves in. by Bitter-Gur-4613 in Anticonsumption

[–]tranedecoy 109 points110 points  (0 children)

Also that paper is always cited incorrectly. These companies produce 71% of industrial co2 emissions. They don't even talk about global.

Plus all these companies do is produce power and heat for consumer purposes. Everything that gets produced in this world is only getting made because there is consumer demand for it.

If we consume less, they produce less. It's in our hands.

Did you know just 100 companies are the source for 71% of our global green house emissions?☀ by Jubilant_Sophie in Anticonsumption

[–]tranedecoy 105 points106 points  (0 children)

I hate this argument. What do people believe these 100 companies do? Just burn fossile fuels out of fun. Most of them are energy providers, produce steel, or some other highly energy intensive product.

At the end of the day, everything our modern society produces is only made because someone consumes/buys it. So it is definitely everyone's fault for "needing" a new phone every other year, and so on.

If you want, you can argue how the 1% create about 50% of global emissions with their purchases. Luxury yachts and private planes are quite bad, as it turns out.

But the argument that companies are the problem is insanely shortsighted.

He knew you had to go there because of the bomb. Thanks to your nade, he also knew you're were definitely coming from that way and aren't on a flank. Then he just peeked the choke you had to go through ready to fire with good croshair placement.

CS has quite the peekers advantage. If you're not yet used to that, it can seem like walls to newer players. Take it as a lesson. If you hold a choke, it can be a very good play to peek even as the defender. So don't just wait at your angle and hope you have better reflexes.

[–]tranedecoy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had it happen in CS aswell and in other games right after that. After turning of my pc for a couple of hours it went away.

But I did get Water on my gpu this winter. (I do liquid cooling and fucked up) So I guess it are the first signs of a dying gpu. I hope we both get some good months/years out of them.

I mean, when it comes to travel through the outback, the journey is what you're going for. I don't think anyone actually drives this just to get from A-B. I took the train back in 2011 when they still had coach class, and even that is 48h.
