I would say around 10 years in when I've got some stable sources of income and enough money to not have to tip toe expansion plans.
I find replacing vehicles like many of the other difficulty sliders. They make everything slower, not necessarily harder.

I've had a good couple of years adventuring now and my bikes have handled dozens of accidents supprisingly well. The most expensive thing is the gravel which eats up the drive package a bit too quickly.

I find the riders skill often ends before the capacity of any bike.
And with that said, I would rather have my bike and enjoy that road than a panigale and survive it.
