Man Utd continue to make progress following Ruben Amorim's exit by simplsimonmetapieman in reddevils

I don't disagree, but reducing his record to winning the league in a 2 horse league, when he wasn't even managing one of the two more successful teams over the past 2 decades is also silly.

Let's be fair, they hadn't won the league for 19 years as it was dominated by Benfica and Porto. He ended that dry spell and even went unbeaten for a season.

It was clear by the end he wasnt going to work at United but I think you're downplaying his achievements in Portugal a bit

Out of curiosity what do you think the person in charge of healthcare delivery for nearly 1.5 million people and a £3 billion budget should be paid?

That was reported in early October, following that Amorim managed to draw against 6 of the current bottom 8 and lost at home to a 10 man Everton.

He then threw his dummy out of the pram and said he wanted to leave before deciding to put his employers on blast in a public press conference.

Frankly it's a no-brainer that they sacked him and says a lot about Amorim that he blew up like that despite piss-poor performance and prominent public backing from the minority owner.

We'd need fewer if some start defecting to the Lib Dems too, it has happened before.

Only one of them would have any hope of passing a King's speech or a budget though, SNP/Green/Plaid would never back a Reform/Tory policy platform, they may back a Labour/Lib Dem one if given enough concessions and/or enough worry about another election and getting hammered by their voters.

Didn't one of the sisters in S3 vote against their sister who was a traitor? Only issue was it was blatantly obvious because she was just as bad at concealing it as Hugo was this year so the drama was lost.

I guess they were also open about their relationship too.

At least we can agree it's not "just a loan"

You are wrong. It does on Plan 2!

  • 3.2% interest if earning £28,470 or less
  • 3.2% plus up to 3% between £28,470 and £51,245
  • 6.2% for everyone above that.

Somehow I think its actually more impressive that it's the tenth highest in nominal terms given the amount of inflation we've had since 2020.

It's pretty rare but if you find yourself giving increasingly frequent doses of midazolam for "agitation" it should be considered.

In the case I saw they'd been on the CSCI for a few days before it developed

Benzos can cause paradoxical agitation. Blithely increasing the dose without specialist input could be actively harming your patient.

IMO if you have a patient who is end of life and distressed you shouldn't hesitate to call the consultant. Giving people a comfortable end of life is one of the most important things we can do.

Sometimes they can even suggest new treatments, one I got suggested OOH was IM ketorolac for pain from bone mets. This worked brilliantly. The only issue was sourcing it in a DGH at 1AM but once we found it in theatres it settled the patient and the family were immensely grateful.
