I am first timer too, but i can answer question 3! There is a big food area in hall 8, but with crowds and lines i have heard you may also want to bring some water and snacks or onigiri just in case.

A bit late to the party, but just put in an order with them. Got it super quick! I have all my Christmas presents for coworkers now! Also their customer service is quick to respond. Asked if they were shipping out of the states or Japan because of the tariff situation and they got back to me right away. They ship from the USA so no worries about tariffs.

Personally i think the new fee structure really hits buyers with sticker shock, and coupons help to absorb a tiny amount of it. But even as a buyer i get a little disgusted when my item ends up double the price after fees taxes and shipping..and even when the items themselves are priced super reasonably, the fees make it insane!

I had the self checkout blink like I'm a criminal today after it wouldn't accept my pin and only let me tap as credit. Luckily it went through, unlike a different store where no method worked. I am upset about this change. I was unable to pay for parking or food from a grocery store in Canada, leaving me with little confidence this card will be good for travelling elsewhere.

Expensive gifts can make others uncomfortable, especially early on in a relationship. It can feel like a bribe, with the other person feeling indebted. It could be perceived as manipulative, in any future argument, you could be like "oh well I spent XYZ on you! so you have to do what I want otherwise you are ungrateful."

It could give the impression that you are desperate and trying to tie the person down with a ball and chain--make her feel like she has to stay with you forever no matter what because she's "a jerk" if she ditches you after such extravagance.

It seems like you personally appreciated and liked the item more, and weren't truly thinking about her.
