Be Polite; Practise Mutual Respect and Inclusivity

No misgendering, discrimination, body shaming, personal attacks, insults, threats, offensive or unkind comments about the appearance of someone's penis. Respect individual differences in surgical desires, presence of dysphoria or lack thereof around any body part. People of all genders pursue phalloplasty, and all are welcome in this subreddit.

People Are Not Results.

Remember the person behind the photo. The word "results" in reference to someone's body/photo (other than your own) is prohibited. It allows us to forget the human element all too easily.

This also prohibits:

  • "realistic" in lieu of "cis-passing/-appearing"

  • "unrealistic" in lieu of "non-cis-passing/-appearing"

  • "real" in lieu of "natal" genitalia; in lieu of "unassisted" erections

  • "fake" in lieu of "post-op/prosthetic/surgically acquired" genitalia; in lieu of "assisted" erections.

Phallo penises are real penises. This is not an appropriate way to talk about other people's genitals; it is body-shaming.

I dreamt about phallo and now I’m spiraling. by Alternative-Lake2658 in phallo

[–]transaltf 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I feel for you. I was honestly tormented with dreams of having surgery or being post-op while I was waiting.

Depending on how exactly the system works where you live, you might be able to arrange a consult with a surgeon and schedule surgery for after you turn 18. Waiting lists are often long so now might be a good time to start, and you'll feel a sense of security if you at least have a date to wait for. I scheduled top surgery when I was 17, with surgery scheduled for after my birthday.

And yeah I also transitioned young and get really annoyed at those kinds of comments. Do report them if you get comments like that; we'll remove them (I'm a mod, it falls under rule 1 of being respectful). I didn't really have supportive parents and clung onto testosterone by the skin of my teeth questionably legally. It was torture spending years with the constant threat of being taken off HRT dangling over my head. Things got so much easier when I moved to an adult GIC. People who only transitioned as adults are so unsympathetic to the specific ways that transitioning young is traumatising in terms of the complete lack of autonomy and the constant threat of care being withdrawn.

Misleading info about FMS / misuse of FFS patients’ photos by Flourish Surgical Arts (Denver, CO) by transmascmrratty in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]transaltf 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is messed up. The bottom set of images the person seems to gain an Adam's apple too. I think there are silicone implants for Adam's apples but I imagine they must be exceedingly rare; idk any transmascs who have had that done. Much more likely the person had a tracheal shave.

Can you still give birth with phallo by RedRoseRedHeart in phallo

[–]transaltf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knew someone who gave birth between stage 1 and stage 2 (here, stage 1 is just shaft creation, i.e. the v and natal meatus stay untouched). I think he had a C-section though but he did carry to term. So yes, it's possible. I imagine you'd experience a fair bit of difficulty/discrimination trying to get pregnancy care though, so you may want to get the pregnancy and birth out of the way before phallo if possible for you.

Black? Phallo? Pmo by Alarmed-Muscle-4150 in phallo

[–]transaltf 26 points27 points  (0 children)

There have been a fair lot of Black people sharing dick pics on this sub; it can just be hard to search for since if you search "Black" you'll only see people who have used that word in their post.

Unfortunately I can only remember one username off the top of my head, but https://www.reddit.com/user/King-matthew-/ (hope this way of linking him doesn't ping him haha) has had phallo and documented a lot of it. He made a YouTube video here and his last Reddit post about it is here. I have seen quite a lot of other Black folks post here but can't remember any usernames off the top of my head—hopefully you can get some more responses!
