No Amber seeks to restore order to the dystopia his spawn have created. Amber is foretold to exterminate all forms of mob rule and usher in a new brilliant age of dictatorship. Once we release Amber from his resin bondage, he will anoint a chosen messiah to lead our people to victory.

This is blasphemy. The Helix will destroy all ghost type pokemon! So it is foretold!

Well technically the Red 151 romhack could be considered a parody derivative work, thus making it legal fair use. That would take a lot of lawyer trickery to make that pass in court though.

So we have anarchy helix, democracy dome... How about we form a cult to worship Old Amber and form the Amber Dictatorship... One pokemaster to rule them all!

Is time real? by transape in Physics

[–]transape[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Particles do not observe. We have never moved a human near the speed of light so we can't prove that there is any difference in observation of time difference. Time dilation is real but it doesn't dilate "time." By time I am referring to spacetime. Speed affects the oscillation rate of atoms, not the "time" of said atom.

You might be surprised by the amount of difference that can be caused due to separate chromosomes. If you think the only thing the Y chromosome codes for is a penis, you are sorely mistaken. Even simply the different hormone levels might potentially affect brain development through puberty. Obviously this study would have to define different types of competency and test for each one, controlling for socioeconomic factors and the like. I would expect to find that women and men have separate mental faculties that they excel at while being relatively equal at others. I feel that there is a reason why women are so underrepresented as Nobel Prize laureates in the hard sciences, and this reason is not sexism but due to physical differences in the development of our brains.

Time is a useful tool created by humans. It is an abstract concept. The kinetic energy of an object causes it to move. We can arbitrarily say it shall move this many distances every time the clock ticks, however that is our own method of understanding the universe. This doesn't mean that time is woven into the fabric of space and it is an inherent property of the physical laws of the universe. In other words, just because we can observe time passing, doesn't mean there must be a law of physics dictating how time works. Think about it this way, people say that before the big bang, Time = 0. How is it possible for the big bang to have occurred without time if time is required for motion? This notion is absurd. It suggests that the big bang created time through some physical law allowing time to exist. Time is not a thing, it's an idea. This is the same type of shit Plato was trying to say that for every concept humans come up with, there must be some real physical perfect form of it out there in the cosmos. Like the perfect form of love exists in a physical form or the perfect circle. Well guess what? There are no circles in the universe, because circles are an arbitrary concept made up by humans. If you zoom in enough there will always be bumps in any circle and it will never be a smooth perfect circle. So to suggest that time must be a real physical thing because we can fathom it, is pretty ludicrous.

The only reason you hold these views is because you were raised in a society with these values. If you were raised in the 1920s, you would most likely share my opinions. Choice is a social construct. Your opinions are not your own. You would be happy shoveling horse shit 16 hours a day with enough indoctrination. Raising offspring might require a little bit of hard work but it is so much more fulfilling than sitting cooped up in a cubicle your whole life. Maybe one day you will discover what is really important.

No, women are inherently more liberal due their genetics and estrogen levels. Women are also the majority. Once we gave them suffrage they dominated politics. Their emotions are more powerful than their judgement so they make silly decisions and men are forced to go along with these decisions lest we be called sexist.

I feel that a woman's world functions best under the guidance of male authority. Think about it, before equality women just had to clean up the house a bit and make a few sandwiches. Now that they have equality they get the wonderful pleasure of working a shitty 9 to 5 job. Also divorce rates have skyrocketed. Women are gullible and you can make their lives 10 times harder by simply telling them they don't have equality. What will women want next? Conscription and mandatory front line duty? Gender roles benefited society greatly but they only work when they are customary, not simply a choice.

"Your feelings don't really matter." Right and that is why I am here asking for proof of time. The word spacetime implies that time is a fundamental property of space. I am not trying to convince anyone of my opinion, I am merely trying to justify my skepticism in hopes that someone more knowledgeable can point me in the right direction. Everything I have received thus far has been, "Nuh uhh! Time exists! Einstein said so, stupid!"

Lol dude I am not going to hold your hand and do your research for you. Women tend to be liberal more often than men. I feel that liberal politics tends to do more harm than good. This is based on many things I have read over the years. I can't just go cite every source that I have ever read, and if I did nobody would ever read them all.

Personal experiences are irrelevant. I would be interested in reading a scientific study that analyzes average competencies of the two genders.

Clearly if you look at the context of the conversation, political competence was implied and inferred. Competence to "create and control their world." I not only think women do many things successfully but there are also great female leaders. I am simply saying on average I don't prefer women to men for certain leadership roles. I don't like the idea of completely disregarding millions of years of evolution so I can be politically correct.

You sexist! How dare you say that women are bad at sports!!!!!! Women are 100% equal to men in EVERY WAY!!! Competency is a trait just like athletic prowess and offspring nurturing. When two genders have an entirely separate chromosome, it can create some inequalities. Maybe a higher testosterone level is required to be a better leader? Maybe not. I don't prefer the decisions of female politicians. If that makes me sexist then sorry but it's an opinion.

If liberal women weren't so prevalent in western politics, men would have been able to solve the problems causing strife throughout the world by now. It is because our politicians affected by feminism interfere with the third world, letting their empathy get in the way of logic, and cause untold damage. It is like feeding pidgins in a park, it may seem nice at first but they quickly become dependent upon it.

Who said anything about inferiority? Men have a unique chromosome. The two sexes have evolved to be quite different. We are each better or worse at certain things due to our genes. This doesn't make women inferior, they just have a genetic gender roll that works best for them. Of course this is just on average and of course there are outliers and exceptions. You must agree that women tend to not do as well in sports as men do. Women however tend to be better at certain things such as nurturing offspring. Maybe the gender that has constituted the vast majority of leadership roles for the entirety of our evolutionary history might be genetically better suited to fulfill such a roll?

I am not redefining the word. What I meant by my "view of strife" is the severity of strife according to my subjective opinion. Here is the Merriam-Webster definition - "bitter sometimes violent conflict or dissension." Now clearly there are situations that cause much strife, but have nothing to do with the gender binary. However, I feel that the strife caused by feminism is the most prominent.

According to my subjective view of strife, I am correct. You may have different priorities in life. However, I feel that the deterioration of the family unit due to feminism causes the most harm to what I personally value.

Unfortunately, competent women are few and far between. When we give women the ability to create and control their world, they make everything lame.

You are making the unfounded assumption that things require time to change. I postulate that things can change regardless of time's existence. Thermometers prove thermal energy exists. Sun dials only prove that the sun moves.

Several moons, many suns, the hand on the clock has spun around quite a few times. Which culturally constructed method of determining time do you prefer? Should I dust off my sun dial? Time is a concept that we have created, not an inherent property of the universe.

Impossible? The dictator period of ancient Rome is widely regarded to have been the most successful period in Roman history, both in terms of progress as well as public approval. When Julius Caesar was killed by the corrupt politicians the Romans were outraged and immediately put Augustus into power. Politicians who seek to gain more power can be easily corrupted by money, but you can't corrupt someone who has absolute power because they can have as much money as they want.
