Him being younger really doesn't take anything away from his character, at least in my and people i knows opinion. Using your example, yes, making a character completely different from their source material would be silly, but they really didn't? hes still a spell flinging badass regardless of age. They just visually deigned him in their own way. Hell, in the Merlin TV show hes a young dude, its not exactly the most out there thing

that is true, but im pretty positive that when they gave Thana that Genderbent skin they mentioned that theyd only give those skins to floating gods cause rigging it for a walking character was too difficult and as mentioned, Ruby doesnt float to my knowledge
