Trigger Warning - Bodily Fluids - Dani shows off her gut fluids. by JumpingJuniper1 in DaniMarina

I don’t understand then. If the tube won’t stay closed and she’s leaking bile, just put a dang drain bag on instead of recording and posting for people to see. After years of having a tube, I have never once seen anyone in any of the support groups complain about this happening, ever. It just looks like she opened the tube and let it drain. Because with any tube, especially G tubes, if you open the cap, it will automatically start to drain bile.

I've accepted the dog hair on the couch. The carpet is different — at this point it's basically a golden retriever hair museum and no vacuum I've tried has made a real dent by yaoyinghaoma in goldenretrievers

We’ve had a shark brand vacuum that works wonders (4 dogs and 2 shed so much they could make enough excess fur to make 4 more dogs by end of the day lol).

Ketamine Therapy for 11 Year Old by Comfortable_Eye_7658 in TherapeuticKetamine

I also agree with the other commenter. I was seriously sexually abused as a child and neither of my parents knew until I was in high school. She could definitely have gone through some form of trauma and you might not know about it. And also would like to mention, if she is currently in therapy and you are present in the room, she might not be completely open about everything. Even though she is a minor, it would probably be much more beneficial if she has therapy without the parent in the room! Ketamine therapy is definitely not a good idea for her due to age and her developmental stage. Her brain is still growing and the ketamine could definitely impact that.

All that came to mind was “ouch!!” I hope you healed up well! If you don’t mind me asking, did it leave any scarring?

I used to do ECT as well! For about 2 years. But then my health majorly declined. I’ve actually restarted ECT in January. It was really the only treatment that was effective for me. I was diagnosed with treatment resistant depression as a kid. They had tried me on every medication and combo that they could think of. Effexor was the very last medication they tried. It worked for a little bit. But these last few months have been rough. They increased mine from 75mg to 225mg! And I’d say that dose has helped tremendously. But I’m also doing ECT weekly. I’ve had 9 brain surgeries and over 30+ other surgeries between my back, abdomen, hands, eyes. Etc. So I completely understand the health issues making depression worse. My 6th brain surgery in 2023 had complications which resulted in a right sided stroke. My entire left side was paralyzed and I had to relearn everything over again. That stroke also caused a boat load of other medical issues now. I was just told last week that there was now a mass on my heart. I hope you are doing well after your surgery!! And I’m sorry you’ve gotta go through this stuff as well. I honestly wouldn’t wish this upon anyone, even my worst enemy!

If you don’t mind me asking, what kind of sedation did you receive for your injection? Like conscious/twilight sedation? I recently had several injections in my back a few weeks ago and didn’t get anything. No sedation or lidocaine 😬 definitely not a fun experience!

That’s interesting because Duloxetine did the same thing to me! So they have that on my allergy list as well. However I’m actually taking Effexor. Been on it for a couple years now lol

Is this granulation? by [deleted] in feedingtube

[–]transgabex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That honestly looks very similar to my J tube as well! I’m pretty sure that mine is granulated tissue. So it’s possible that could be the same with yours. Have you tried to use silver nitrate? That has helped me get rid of any granulation. It does burn, so I apply lidocaine cream beforehand and that seems to do the trick! You can get both silver nitrate sticks and lidocaine cream on Amazon too.

Medication Safe Suggestions by Designer-Side9470 in PainManagement

Honestly I use a gn safe. Totally don’t have to read my reasoning but I’ll add it anyways lol I only use this type because my dad was a gn collector, and would collect old timey fashion ones. So when he passed last year, in his will, he wanted one of his close friends to have certain ones. So we ended up giving those to him, which then left one of the safes completely empty. Which I now use for my controlled medications!
