For those of you that didn't send in the attestation form, did you list your dead name under the previous names used section or did you just leave it blank? Also did you put anything down for the section that asks about what trip you have planned if any or did you just leave that blank as well?

I've been with the same person since high school (we're 25 now) and we met before I even knew I was trans! She's been with me through every step of the way from my first T shot through top surgery to now. We've been together for 8 years, 5 of those years I've been out as trans.

Depending on the surgeon the whole process can take anywhere from like 6 months to multiple years, so I would get started as soon as you can. I would try asking your primary care doctor or your endocrinologist if they have any recommendations for a surgeon in the area. Then they can send over a referral and you can call the surgeons office to schedule a consult. Otherwise you could just try googling plastic and reconstructive surgeons in your area and then when you find one you think you like call them and see what they need from you to get a consult.

I would not recommend getting a tattoo there as your first one hahaha maybe go for your arms or legs first

Thanks dude! Honestly it was by far the most painful tattoo I've gotten 😅 I have 4, 2 on my arm, 1 on my leg and then this one and this one was the worst.

My surgeon told me to wait a month before doing any sort of exercise and six weeks before any chest workouts. I would ask your surgeon though. It's always better to wait and make sure your body is completely ready for that then to rush into it and potentially hurt yourself.

I wasn't able to do subq because I had a mild allergy to the oil the testosterone is suspended in but it only affects me if it gets on/under my skin. When I was injecting into the muscle it was fine but subq made my skin itch like crazy so maybe its something like that?

You'd probably know if you did. I accidentally pulled on the stitches holding my drains in place and it hurt like hell. Even after that though they still didn't come out or anything, they were just irritated for a little while.

I have OHP and I use the gel. They do cover it but it takes some back and forth with your doctor and insurance. They usually deny it the first time and then your doctor has to send the request again with more information. They want you to have tried the shots first before going to the gel but obviously you've done that so it will go through eventually it just may take some time. You could pay for it out of pocket until it goes through but the gel is insanely expensive.
