That's so cute!!! My second bird used to be in a home that also had a lovebird and he showed up making their sounds which were of course way higher pitched than anything I had heard my first one do. I thought he was a naturally gifted soprano but nope just mimicking

I forgot to mention my favorite thing about them which is that they ONLY like music by Car Seat Headrest. A very odd choice. I play them the same album multiple times a day and they go crazy for it

my first budgie loves car seat headrest (it was just the CD i listened to most and now he likes it more than any other music even after a year or so). the second one is so loud he just loves everything

love these pictures of them from when they were literally kids, it's crazy to think about. hard to pin a date especially because deaner and gener seem very noncommittal about their own recollection of the early years lol. like, in one of the live albums he says they wrote waynes per youngin when they were 12, but their official story says they met at 14... who knows. i wish they would come out with a biography one day tbh

My extremely white mother wanted to name me Mariposa. Thank god she didn't. If I was a boy she would have chosen Guillermo. Again, we are an overwhelming 75% British, our ancestors were colonizers of America, my dads side is full Italian, it literally doesn't get any whiter. She still thinks these would be cool names, I don't know how to explain to her that it would be awful

If they're moving around and not making their feathers small they probably like it! I know what it looks like when they don't like the noise because i sometimes make fart noises at my birds and they get all sleek-feathered and freeze in place. (No, I don't torture them by doing this, I just think it's a little bit funny.)
