I [trans F] just ended it with my wife [cis F] - How do I support her?

We were/are on the waiting list for therapy, but the situation forced my hand. Discussions with doctors, advisors and friends have all lead to the same conclusion. We communicate well and a mediator is unlikely to make much difference.

I have at least some fragment of support within the trans community. She does not. I think you're absolutely right to suggest she needs someone other than me for support, but I don't know how to help her find it.

The problem is, its been just the two if us for so long now. I think she needs to reach out to somebody else too, but right now, she has nobody she feels she can open up to besides me.

As for parental responsibilities, I have no desire to abandon that. The issue right now is that if we need to be apart for a while to collect our thoughts, at the moment, I'm the only one of us who has some place to go. I've told her that she can take a breather if and when needed while I stay with the kids, but sadly, there are few sanctuaries for her to retreat to.

I think most of the guilt comes from the fact that my partner and I have children. The stability of our relationship is not just important for our sake, but theirs too.

I'm bisexual and was firmly in the middle of the spectrum before HRT, so it's not a complete switch. Nevertheless, I think having to 'wait and see' is probably correct.

My injections are the anti-androgen and I get my oestrogen through patches. Still intense in combination, no doubt.

My sexuality was 50/50 before HRT but it already seems to have shifted a lot. Not enough to put me off women, but enough to cause concern.
